If you have several days in Athens and have time to explore beyond the main the tourist sights, then tracking down this traditional, family-run bakery is a fun thing to do. It is located in Iroon Square in the heart of the Psirri area. We...stood here for some time, watching the bougatsa pastry being stretched and pulled by hand, the traditional way. Seeing the thin pastry twirling through the air in expert hands was like watching a free open-kitchen show. Of course we bought some bougatsa and spanakopita which we ate on the spot - delicious. A visit to Bougatsadiko Thessaloniki is easily combined with other foodie sightseeing in the area. We walked from here to Central Market and Evripidou St, or ‘Spice Street’, both of which are only a very short walk away.More

Little breakfast moment spent in this shop with lots of delicious orders. I found this shop its really like Thessaloniki and Alexandrapoli regions taste, that I ate there before. Freshness and crispness are best point.

we did have the bougatsa. We planned to bring it home to have for breakfast but once everyone tried it, it was so delicious we not only devoured it but bought a second one which quickly disappeared as well. After an evening of trying many...different Greek foods, my daughter decided this to have been her best bite of the evening.More

Great spot with lovely outdoor seating. Everything is freshly made there. The cream bougatsa was so good we got up extra early to go a second time before our flight home. Quick service and great value, nice coffee too.

Visited this place for bougatsa & the interior looked really nice & cosy. Staff were really friendly & welcoming. We ordered a portion of chicken rolled pie & a bougatsa. Also a Freddo Cappuccino. The chicken pie was really yummy & the pastry was nice...& crisp. The bougatsa wasn't as warm as we were expecting, so while it was tasty, it wasn't amazing. The Freddo Cappuccino was good! Strong but not overly so. We sat outside so could see the variety of dazzling pastries on offer & also watch the comings & goings in the square. It was a nice choice for our first dine in in Athens 😁More

Every dish is ready and heated all the time so you can ge a take-away in ten seconds. We ordered: A spanakopita, which was really good and crunchy. I'm not really into spinach and I really enjoyed it. Rate: 8/10 Ham 'n' cheese Khachapuri, which...was FANTASTIC. Very fluffy dough. So good that after eating one we took 2 of it for a snack later Rate: 10/10 Something looking like Bougatsa but with white cheese filling inside. We didn't enjoy sticky, heavy white cheese filling Rate: 3/10More

Warm and cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and great tasting food. The bougatsa with cream filling is served warm. I had the mine with chocolate and praline sauce with a greek coffee. The bougatsa was delicious. The greek coffee (boiled rather than brewed) is a taste...to be acquired - nice and strong though. Great breakfast choice!More

Amazing for breakfast or for any time of the day! Really enjoyed the minced meat pie, bougatsa cream, and the Greek yogurt. The yogurt portion is huge. Very good prices.

The bougatsa and spinach pie were not as fresh or good as other places tried in Athens. Not bad for a pit stop though. Almost €20 for 2 slices of pie / bougatsa and coffees

Couldn’t wait to come here once we landed in Athens. We sat outside and I had a Freddo espresso (so strong just how I like it) and a couple of pies. The best was the cream bougatsa. Ugh I need this in New York! Everything...was very affordable and tasty.More

The Bougatsadiko is a very iconic spot best suited to taste Bougatsa, a typically sweet (also available in savory options) pastry that is baked and enjoyed fresh out of the oven. You can choose between accompanying Italian or Turkish style coffee and enjoy your little...snacks outside while people watching at an interesting little Platia. Loved the authentic feel of the place, the friendliness of the waiting staff and, of course, the taste of those little baked goods and would strongly recommend a visit here any time of the day.More
