Oikeio offers delicious meals at an affordable price, while being one of the few places that do not allow smoking inside. The decoration is interesting and the service is smiling and kind. The only disadvantage is the lack of view - but you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Athenian center when eating outside. It is highly recommended when looking... More

Visiting here on my own and had the most delicious meal I have had in a while! The grilled halloumi starter was superb, followed by a delicious rabbit dish, and wrapped up with chocolate mousse, all washed down with a half carafe of house red. The service was good and there was a mix of locals and tourists dining. A... More

Our hotel, Coco-Mat, recommended this hotel. It lived up to all of the great reviews. I loved the Greek salad and meatballs! My husband enjoyed the pork tenderloin.

Nice restaurant with many choices and like mama used to do it. I would visit every time I visit Athens.

Came across this by accident and we were not disappointed in any way. Very cosy and quaint decor , upstairs , although tight was perfect for us. Varied menu and helpful staff assisted us. Halloumi and tzatziki starters along with the local breads accompanied a recommended bottle of merlot. Mains were plentiful and delicious. (Pork fillet with baked potato and... More

Came to this restaurant by a recommendation from CocoMat Hotel nearby. Very good Greek food. We ordered Stuffed Vine Leaves and Roasted Halloumi as starters. Very delicious especially the Halloumi. For main course, we had seabream and meatball which are also nice. Most customers here seem to be local Greek.

Definitely our second favourite place to eat in Athens. We were 3 people and went for dinner. Started with 2 different salads, one Greek and second different greens. Both were good, but the second was awesome! For mains we shared Moussaka and Meat balls with sauce. Those meat balls really one of best we ever had. Remwmber to book a... More

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant on a Tuesday night, when it was quiet. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the service was pretty good too. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is not far from Evangelismos metro station and fairly easy to find. We had a lovely meal here.

The restaurant is adorable, cozy and cool all at the same time. It is in a sweet house and the tables are both upstairs and downstairs. We had a delicious meal. It was different from all the Greek food we were having so it was a nice change. The service was just ok, but they were busy. It is in... More

Staying in Kolonaki / Lykavittos

Neighbourhood Profile
Kolonaki / Lykavittos
By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. The wooden amphitheater up here hosts regular concerts during the summer.
