Great authentic Greek food, atmosphere and hospitality. Off the beaten path and mostly locals. Amazing food and extremely fresh!! Great value also.

Besides main dishes being great, the broad selection of appetizers are served immediately by friendly staff. It simply isn't another "for tourists only" restaurant - the majority of customers are local and it's worth of visiting.

Good food with a lot of vegetarian options. Just order several appetizers and you eat vegetarian Greek. Or if you want a main course a vegetarian spaghetti. Nice atmosphere. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon.

Good food. Good wine. Reasonably priced, safe to say on the cheap side, and people serve you with a smile. Fast as well. The starters come in a tray and you choose. And as accustomed in Greece, when you ask for the check they bring you a portion of traditional dessert to share among you. Everything I have tried is... More

Well nothing short of fantastic begins to describe the delicious food at Tabépna Pozania Rosalia. We enjoyed lunch there at the beginning and at the end of our month in Greece. The last time we brought 2 friends from the US we met up with while in Athens. The fried calamari and the marinated octopus salad are the best we... More

We were a group of work colleagues having lunch here recently and it was a great experience. They have the habit of showing you a huge tray of small dishes from where you pick the starters you want. The main courses were varied, nicely presented and very tasty. This was my second visit here after a visit just over a... More

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
