I went to Rififi cause I read about it. The place was nice, it was late noon so there were really few clients there, unfortunately smoking inside. The service was friendly. I had their winter salad which lacked in intensity, and the leek souffle, which had so much cheese that you couldn't taste anything else. The ham neck was the... More

My friend George from Creta recommended this place and it was great! Unique plates, great variety in our courses and a very kind waitress. Good house wine and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Rififi is the perfect place to be if you want to be greeted with a smile and fed with very good (and more than reasonably priced) food! The offer dishes baked in vacuum, which is cool! Lamp, pork, chicken... no matter what you like you'll be glad you chose Rififi for lunch or dinner! What a place@@@

Cosy sweet restaurant right in the heart of Athens, in Exarchia: friendly, homey atmosphere, smiling service, generous portions and excellent value for money. What more could you want??

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
