We had dinner at this restaurant, the service was made by the same person that was cooking, very local restaurant. Greek food and then we order a really nice dish recommended by the chef.

Tipical restaurant with very good sea food, familiar ambient, good price close to the city centre. I had fried calamari and anchovies with Greek salad. everything was good.

We came here after our intended destination was closed and are so glad we did! The food was mouth-wateringly good - I did not know that tzakiki and rice in vine leaves could taste so good. Everything we ordered was delicious and service was very friendly. Also, amazing value. English menu as well

Set on a slightly off the track back street but once seated great food, very fresh fish and lovely service. You also must pop in to see the working juke box.

We were a group of business colleagues stopping here for lunch recently and were very pleased with the experience. This restaurant is simple and service is friendly and uncomplicated. There was a wide range on the menu, and our various fish dishes were fresh, tasty and nicely served. You can sit outside on the street or indoors. The area is... More

If someone wants to feel like local , then it's a place to visit. Taste nice local flavors , ouzo , tsipouro even Cretan tsikoudia. Nice food mostly for those who like fish dishes. Try the 'fava' it's one of the best.. I would recommend it!

I go to this restaurant for years, most of the times with my father and my brother, who also love this place. It is a lively, friendly restaurant in the heart of the city where you can have delicious sea food and drink good ouzo. The food is always fresh, fried or grilled to perfection (taste the grilled octopus and... More

Particularly friendly service. Had very good cuttlefish and gavros, interesting urban setting. Good for food, beer, and ouzo--this is not a place to drink wine.

1. Excellent service 2. Great quality of food 3. Large variety of ouzo brands 4. Prices could have been a bit better though although the focus is on the quality. 5. Not the best location but the food and the great ouzo labels will counterbalance it.

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
