Nice standard Greek fare. All was ok and was happy with my meal (except perhaps for the 3 olives in my Greek salad however there was a big slab of feta) until I came to pay. At the back of the menu it clearly states service IS included in the price. I requested to pay via card and the waiter... More

We have eaten here many times over the last 12 years. The food is consistently good, the waiters are friendly and professional and good at answering questions. Both about the food and the area. In 2016 we ate here for 3 lunches and 3 dinners. The gyro plates and the sausages are among our favorites.

Saw it on the corner and was enticed by the maître de to have a great meal. Ordered the rustic salad, the chicken gyros plate and an ouzo. Food and drink were on the table in 5 minutes. Salad was plentiful, hot and fantastic chicken gyros. The service was fast and courteous. Won't mind visiting again

We stopped here for lunch and all had the chicken gyros, great simple food and a family winner. Staff attentive and polite and beer served in iced glasses, fabulous. Good value and great location.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the Acropolis and winding our way through the streets. Great location, bustling and busy restaurant, nothing out of the ordinary, near identical restaurant opposite to quite entertaining to watch waiters battling it out selling the menus to customers! I had the dip selection and pita bread (very small pita bread, you'll need 2 or... More

So glad we chose this restaurant. Everything was excellent from the Meze to the mains and the drinks. Lamb chops were unbelievable and the serving size was ridiculous. I'll be back for sure.

My first poor review :( We were starving after visiting the acropolis and made a poor decision stopping here. 2 chicken gyros.... My husbands had raw chicken in it. He found it half way through. He ate pretty much around it (partly due to his hungry and party because he does eat anything) but it really put me off my... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
