Nice food, excellent coffee. Although it is a "turistic" restaurant, the service and the dishes are excellent. I enjoyed a cold espresso cafe, unbelivable good. Best value for money.

We had one day in Athens, and the tour dropped us on in this busy location. We passed several similar restaurants, but this one had the menu we liked and looked like it was filled with both locals and tourists. We saw a couple of the tour guides eating there and figured we could do worse. We had a lovely... More

There are a million better options than this place. Stopped to use the bathroom and decided to have s bite. Gross! Chicken gyro was cold, sent back was no better...tzaki was fair...drinks were the only plus of this place!

The vine leaves were appalling, and the moussaka was barely passable. Add that to the terrible service and the overpricing, if say to not waste your time!

Fabulous food (sea bass and swordfish), great greek music and excellent service. Lunch the previous day was also outstanding

There are many good restaurants in Plaka, but this is not one of them. This is tourist food at its worst. We were part of a large group, so we had a set menu which was awful - badly cooked, poorly presented and almost thrown at us as they rushed us through the meal. Never again.

Lovely meal. Our waiter, Vasilos was excellent. Very friendly and boned my fish for me at the table. Fish was fresh and delicious.

Service was decent but slow, and the food was mediocre to bad. Gyros were bland and on the chewy side, and the pork in the souvlaki was undercooked. Definitely the worst food we had in Athens.

Fish platter was really nice. Enticed in with an offer of 15% off. Sounds good. 32euro for nice fish player for 2.. Still good. Service was a bit abrupt. Got charged a lot for bread salad and a couple of drinks. Questioned the bill to be met with some Greek, some figures scribbled on the table and a shrug. Paid... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
