We had good services and even better food. The greek salad is amazing and the turkey burger was very good.

Good cocktails, good music, well placed. You come here and then you dont want to leave... That was a "regal".

Ambiance is good, foods and waiters are good. I would like to come again :) But the juice is not freshly pressed.

Nice music and good food. Near to Acropolis museum. Should try "El clasico" burger and the tea, I hope to come here again.

Everything is in order except the staff passes you like you don't exist. Lighting fast service after 15minutes of sitting without being asked what I'd like to drink, let alone bringing water first. Shame, I really liked the place.

Dear Nikola Thanks for choosing our place, we are happy that you liked it. Accept our apologies, it was so crowded that day because it was January first...We did our best to serve all of you but apparently in some cases we didn't manage it...Given the chance... Happy New Year!!! More

We arrived at our hotel in Athens a little after lunchtime and Regal was the first place we saw, so we decided to stop in. At first, our server didn't seem too excited that we were there (6 young-ish Americans wanting a lot of alcohol). After we ordered food and kept ordering drinks, George starting joking with us and even... More

Went out to this restaurant with a big group for a birthday party. There were about 22 of us all together. The waiters were good at finding a seating area for all of us to sit within. However it took a long time for the food to come out for different parts of the group so some waited about an... More

I stopped by here for the selection of tees and free wifi (ask your waiter for the code). I got a plate of roasted veggies and pita bread. While it was a more expensive meal (12 euros which is not bad but for Athens is more), it was very good. Enjoyed the ambiance.

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighbourhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianised Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centrepiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
