The food here is as fine as I've been served in a number of Michelin star restaurants at a fraction of the price. For a reasonable €40, I had a sit down lunch with several glasses of wine. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender slow cooked beef that pushed apart with a fork, but hadn't dried out remotely. I'd... More

Good Greek food with local products, creative cuisine, poor service, higher than average price for a restaurant included in the Michelin guides Prices as expected higher than average, but expected for a restaurant of its class (estimate 35-40 Euros per person for Starter / Salad / Main Course / Glass of Wine) Dishes worth to try: Appetisers : Dumplings (Loukoumades... Okay, the roof top terrace was being remodeled, so it was closed during our visit. That might have made a difference in this review, but although the food was good, it was not memorable. By far the favorite dish at our table for 7 were the pork street tacos. You could make a meal of these. They were terrific. Pass... More

We went here for diner. The food was very good. Nice salades and very good meat. Typically Greek food but not only suvlaki and gyros. We had a table outside in the street but we als heard there is a roof terras with great vieuw over Acropolis. When you visit Athens this is a very good place for diner.

We were 10 people in total that visited Kuzina one thursday in may 2017. As some of the guests had been there before we booked the Chefs table close to the kitchen. We got a set of pre-courses as a shared menu, and you need to remember that you get a lot of food in this restaurant...and it all tastes... More

From the moment I was welcomed at the front door and ushered up the stairs to the roof terrace until the warm Kallinichta that was my farewell greeting, this was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. Food was outstanding...from the variety of starters to the main course of lamb shank and the ice ream dessert, it... More

This restaurant is on Adrianou street, where many restaurants are located. They serve ample portions and good salads, but the side dishes are too simple for a rather expensive place. Also the recommended wine wasn't of good quality

Went quite early at 7.45 pm,service was perfect,a young lady took the order,a lot of very friendly waiters were taking care of the guests. Food is superb. And suddenly at 8.30 an apparent chief woman (badly dressed)came in and destroyed all the ambiance of this nice restaurant.

This is one of many restaurants in a very popular tourist area near the Agora. We found ourselves there by chance for an early lunch and enjoyed an excellent meal. Service was friendly and efficient.. servings are big, and our idea of a light lunch turned into something rather different. But the food was varied, well presented and well above... More

Our travel agent suggested this restaurant and I'm glad we listened! We didn't have the exact address and to our surprise we stumbled right across it! The service, food, and views are amazing! I love Greek cuisine and this restaurant tops the charts! We ordered the Greek meatballs, the tuna, and the lamb shank, all delicious! I highly recommend this... More

Staying in Monastiraki

Neighbourhood Profile
Monastiraki is a souvenir-hunting enclave with a difference. Apart from the dramatic backdrop of the Acropolis, its network of alleys and pedestrianized streets surround the remains of both the Greek and Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki Square is a lively spot by day or night, with street peddlers vying for your attention to sell you nuts and sweets. Down beside the metro station, the official Flea Market is an unbroken row of souvenir shops until you come to antique-oriented Platia Avissinias, while Pandrossou Street on the other side of the square offers more tourist shopping. The pedestrianized street beside the Greek Agora is lined with cafés offering fine views.
