really splendid family type restaurant. the owner is delightful and the staff is wonderful. we followed the recommended starter of the salmon with the most delicious sauce. the house wine was just fine, but the high light was the veal chop for four. delicious, rare and plenty for 4 people. we will be back!

This place was cute and had a good atmosphere (great live guitar player) sangria was delicious. However the food was not good. Had the shrimp curry and was the worst curry I have ever had. Fiancé had the bird meat sausage and said it was okay, but we had some earlier this week that was phenomenal. My suggestion, make reservations... More

We were moving to down town Ribeira and stopped in front to listen for the music ... A quick look into the menu and we were surprised for the diversity of typical food, prices and decoration . We had "Bacalhau com broa" and after "Bife com Queijo Serra" with Evel Douro wine , and it was great !

As it was December there were a few tables free outside when I arrived and a chap was playing music in the window. I ordered a prawn paella which was very good. The service was a bit slow outside and I spent the time watching the world go by.

Sufficient food & perfectly cooked and seasoned. Live music, very humble staff. A perfect choice for people who want to forget the big cities and just eat, taste and relax. Defenitively a place that we will return and recommend.

On passing we thought we would give it a try and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful and couldn't fault the service. Very reasonably priced. The live music was great.

Our first night in Portugal....we chose the venue because of the guitarist sounded great and he was. The waiter was helpful and the food came out quickly....maybe too quickly. I didn't enjoy the fish, egg and rice dish but that maybe was a personal thing rather than the food. The bill was acceptable. The street was safe. The people were... More

Superb restaurant. Spectacular service, excellent food, nice area, enjoyed. Oldest restaurant in the emblematic Rua das Flores. A must for those who enjoy cooking at the highest level.

All very pleasant and full of laughs and jokes but, having ordered a starter, they "forgot" it. so we had it with our main. There are so many good eateries around that we suggest you only do this one if you're not bothered about it's negative points. They do have music playing though!

The restaurant design is so cute and colorful. We visited on a Monday night, and there was an old artist performing live smooth songs so the ambiance was so nice too. We ordered pasta and the shrimp puff pastry and both were really good. The waiter was attentionate. So couldn't ask for a calmer better night that monday

"A Parte" is the new restaurant/bar/lounge, in Oporto, next to Mercado Ferreira Borges in the old town. It's a lively and informal place, where you can find good portuguese food.
