Very small, but cosy restaurant in the very heart of Porto, close to the touristic Douro bank, but in a quite hidden street. Friendly and multilingual staff, delicious food, good wine. Prices are adequate. Not to be missed! In particular if you want to taste local fish dishes.

Very delicious food, big portion and not expensive. I love the grilled octopus and the octopus rice there so much. The staff and their services are really nice. They served a small glass of port wine for free after our dinner. Highly recommend!

Dined here this evening after reading about the string of positive comments on TripAdvisor that were right on. We arrived at about 6pm, without a reservation prior and got a table. The menu was in English and the layout was good. Ordered a potato and cabbage soup, vegetable salad, seafood pasta and grilled sardines. The food was cooked to perfect... More

Cosy place with nice food and polite staff. We had octopus and fried sardines all excellent soaked in nice house wine. Not cheap, not expensive. A good place for some true authentic Portuguese cuisine.

The food is good as well as the wine, the service is really nice hovewer the location is not perfect as you can not seat on the sun and you don't have nice view. It was also disappointing that they charged the appetizers that they offer us as welcome without telling us

We had a great dinner at A Grade on a Friday night in October. It was a delightful and unique experience. Very "down home", local and comfortable just a block off of the Riberia riverfront. The owner served all tables inside the restaurant and made us feel at home - no pretense. We were possibly the only non-Portuguese speaking people... More

Intimate, friendly, family-run restaurant steps from the river up a small street. We're glad we arrived shortly after noon since they were full by 1245. The caldo verde soup warmed the soul and the goat was excellent (though we hardly qualify as experts since this was the first time eating it not in a stew of some sort), plenty for... More

Family owned small local place with fresh seafood. This is what locals call a mom and pop place. Pop is serving and Mom is cooking. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. Pop didn't speak English but the menus are in English and really just order and enjoy. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We had a... More

The food is exceptionally good, very traditional, not too pricey and portion are enormous in this family-run place. And the locals like it a lot. I had the tripa done the local way and it was enough for two. The pork my friend had was sensational. Our table did not have fish but I could not stop admiring how large... More

We read about this place in the guidebook and am so happy that we went. The food was exceptional (especially the baked octopus), the atmosphere very good and prices were decent. Well recommended!
