We visited Taj Mahal twice during our stay in Funchal. Good food, friendly waiters, nice and clean. Perfect Nan bread, high quality meat in the various dishes that we ordered and perfect blend of spices.

Lovely terrace to sit outside with great views. Good Indian cuisine and fair selection of drinks. Good service and good value for money

Hassan & Farruck were absolutely lovely and great fun. Our food was delicious and Hassan recommended a very tasty fruity red wine to accompany our meal. Very pleasant evening & would have no hesitation in returning. More staff on would have made it a 5 star rating!

Nicely prepared food and quick service although we did eat during a quiet period. The vegetable soup was excellent and piping hot as was the choice of curry. A nice location and setting and good service. Would definitely eat there again.

We decided to go to the Taj Mahal as it was close to our hotel and we didn't want to go far that night after a long day. Our poppadoms were forgotten so we ended up having them served with our main course which wasn't really satisfactory. The meal itself was pretty good. The restaurant clean, but service was average.... More

We have dined at this restaurant for the last two years, however, we felt that the meal on this occasion was not so good and it is quite expensive. It is a shame really as the restaurant is very nice and convenient to all the various hotels. The staff are friendly, but overall a bit disappointing!

We first visited this restaurant in 2013 when we had an excellent meal. So we opted to eat here again on this holiday. The menu is comprehensive, but the service was functional at best, considering the restaurant only had about 6 tables occupied. The food arrived lukewarm, I received the wrong fruit juice. Towards the end of the meal it... More

The chicken and vegetable pakora starters were dry and over cooked. Chicken vindaloo very tasty and done in the old fashioned way with some potatoes in with the chicken. Karahi Chicken had far too much onion and not tasty. Nan bread excellent.

We stayed in Funchal for a week in February and as this was near our hotel, The Casino Pestana, we visited 3 times in the evenings!! What can I say, we love indian food!!! This place is fabulous & well worth the visit. We were recommended this place by a couple in our hotel, as we wouldn't have found it... More
