Stopped here as hungry after a boat trip and wanted somewhere in the old town to sit outside and watch the world go by. Location is excellent and a really good spot to absorb the lifestyle. Waiters friendly and helpful. Went for the 10 Euro 3 course option and all were happy with quality but not quantity. I guess for... More

Visited here for lunch while on holiday on 6th April 2017. Tiaga the waiter was extremely helpful and the service overall was good. We had the three course 10 euro lunch which was both good in quality and quantity. The carafe of wine for 5 euros was also enough at lunchtime and was a good 'run of the mill' red.... More

Service was a bit slow, but a good range of options available on the 10 euro three course menu. Best chicken espetada that we had. Tried the limpets as well, very interesting!

Vegetarian isn't well catered for in Funchal old town, and sure enough it wasn't on the menu here. But they were happy to do me a vegetable pizza (I didn't check whether the mozzarella they used was veggie - there's a limit to how far I'll push things in a country that doesn't understand vegetarians), *and* include it in the... We decided to stop here after running the gauntlet of the full length of the old town plethora of restaurants. This was our last evening and we really just wanted a simple, inexpensive meal having eaten out every night for a week. We opted for the €10 set meal and chose melon, skewers mousse and ice cream. We didn't expect... More

We went here on our first night in Madeira and were tempted in by the zany boss who reminded us of the wedding planner in "Father of the Bride". The restaurant is not average, nor is it very good, it is GOOD but Trip Adviser do not have that category available! We all had the set price 10€ menu and... More

Excellent meal. Eat there three times. Very good value. Really good fish soup. Lovely ambience eating on the street. We ate at several restaurants in Funchal and this was the best.

When we eat out we hope for some added value but the basic 10€ menu was pretty average. Avocado salad was a couple of things slices with some lettuce cucumber and tomato and a token olive. Ham and pineapple was just that. Squid steak was a few slices of kalimari with chips and the same basic salad as the starter.... More

There are so many restaurants to choose from in the old town. We were ready to eat and were glancing at the menu outside this restaurant, not wanting a huge meal, when the waitress encouraged us inside. She was very pleasant and not at all "pushy", as some are. There were a few families already eating but it seemed a... More
