It was a first visit to Madeira,Funchal. I visited by of chance as waiting for bus at S.Martino Restaurant Avenida do Infante 28. We had a menu for 24 for two.It was value for money.At first thought portion will be small but to our surprise...was EXCELLENT portions. Tomatoe soup Spaghetti Carbonara/Bolognese Dessert Glass of wine.Woww. Was lovely and worth it I highly recommend. Server wasn't the happiest chappy or smiled much.Was alone and had lot on he's hand and under the surcamstances with Covid it understandable. Also they earn a very low wage around £2.80.Sad.So do tip them well If you happy with food and service. Thank you. I will defo visit again if I find myself that way again.More

Pizza here is DELICIOUS! If you’re looking for a restaurant with tasty food, good wine, excellent service and good prices- this is a place for you. We ordered pizza margarita, pizza capriciosa, a glass of Madeira’s 5 years old wine and a bottle of coke...and we paid 21 euros! (There was some kind of discount on margarita as it was for 5€). Amazing food, came quickly and hot and it was everything I could ever ask for in an Italian restaurant. Better pizza than in some restaurants in Rome that we tried. I recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Funchal.More

Don’t be fooled by the modest appearance as this is a high quality pizzeria which seriously packs a punch. The pizzeria is sandwiched between an Italian delicatessen and handmade Italian ice cream parlour all under the same ownership. We choose our starters from the deli...including a delicious homemade Burata. The hot focaccia bread was also so fresh and delicious. The pizzas were generously sized and of high quality. The desserts were tempting but we were defeated but will return again to sample the tiramisu which looked delicious. The service was great and the owners were very friendly and passionate and it is run by an Italian family who really know the secret to high quality Italian ingredients.More

Both for lunch and dinner this is a lovely little Italian serving top quality food. The fish soup is tremendous and the pizzas are the best i've tasted. The icing on the cake is the lovely staff.

I am always comparing pizza to the best one I ever had ( in Naples) and this came very close. Really tasty sauce and only £5 for a Margherita! It just missed fresh basil on top. Really filling- I only ate half and they boxed...up the rest to take away. I also bought a bottle of Chianti to take away as I was fed up of Maderian wine (which I find sour) and so was very happy to find a good Italian red to go with this meal.More

We had an amazing meal last night here, the Pizza was fab but the burratta was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place!

This is a great place - wonderful warm service and good homemade food. We were given great advice on the wine choice (fantastic red called Papa Figos) and the carpaccio starter we shared was fresh and delicious. Both our mains for pizza and mushroom pasta...were very tasty. Really good food, service and value - highly recommended.More
