The staff is pretty indifferent and not particularly friendly. My guess is they tire of tourists coming in all day long. But the chocolate Travesseiros are beyond delicious and worth the trip!!!

Good place for lunch. Very nice savoury crepes. Pleasant staff and good service. Great ice creams. Good coffee and beer. All at fair prices. Worth a visit.

We went here to try traditional pastries - travesseiro and queijadas. Both were pretty disappointing - very dry and lacking in flavour.

Had the chance of experiment the traditional sweet of Sintra referred to Travesseiro de Sintra. Truly amazing fresh and they give the perfect souvenir when I go back to my hometown, still good after a couple of days. It has the feel of a traditional Portuguese place, you can feel like a local here but the quality of the sweets... More

Usually cannot go wrong with pastries in my book. Good Portugese pastries. It was pretty crowded, but the staff filled orders quickly and gave good advice.

The Piriquita belongs to the institutional places in Sintra to enjoy some coffee and Portuguese pastries.Their speciality is the "travesseiro" filled with almond creme in the original recipe. They also offer queijadas and others portuguese sweet speciaities. Perfect place to have a coffee break in the afternoon when visiting the old city.

We came in for a quick snack. It was great. Normally we would have stayed longer but needed to finish a tour. I'd definitely come again! We went to the back patio area and had gelato too. They have table service.

We entered to have a seat and get something for a relaxing break ... the waiter very rude ordered us to get a ticket for having a table assigned. At the end she gave us a table with 3 chairs (we were 6) and start immediately to ask what we want .... for other 3 chairs we have to wait... More

My husband and I were looking for a quick lunch during our visit to Sintra. Service was very friendly and they made us a basic cheese sandwich with butter. The bread was very fresh and soft. The desserts were good, we preferred the longer traditional dessert with sugar on top (can't remember the name) but it was amazing! So good... More
