The street (Rua Doutor ALfreda da Costa) is worth a visit if you're in Sintra. Lots of interesting shops and pretty houses. If you arrive by train you're already nearly there. Legenday Cafe is popular, not least because it has space outside to sit on the pavement and watch the World go by. Inside is quirky. When I was there... More

Went there for a lunch. Good for the price, but dirty wine glasses and hair in wine. Would not recommend.

We only dropped in for a coffee and two custard tarts, a Portuguese speciality, cold custard in a tart. Coffee was good a cappachino and an Americano. Custard tarts were very good. The tables are of the metallic variety with similar chairs, more suitable to a fast food restaurant, however many local people came in to eat . The tables... More

For 5.50 I had the vegetarian meal of pea cakes, rice and beans and a carrot and cabbage salad. Sangria was only 1.10 and it was nice to be in a funky, music oriented local hang out.

We stopped for a drink after our sintra tour including coba da roca. We saw the menu including chicken, drink and coffee. Food was good, and it was surprisingly cheap. The atmosphere was nice, dont expect an elegant restaurant. Resting on the street at sunset was also nice.

We stopped in for coffee and a pastry on our way into to do the Sintra main circuit. When we saw the pastry options - we skipped that bit. The coffee was fine and the prices reasonable, but service was cheerless and the interior was shabby and dull. Lots of flies buzzing about. Would probably not return.

I had a set menu for about €5. This included a glass of wine and coffee - both were good - plus a main meal. I had the vegetarian option which was a reasonably tasty stew. However it was barely warm. The front area seemed reasonably well kept but when I took a seat in the back area I found... More

Although they didn't have a huge selection of main dishes (one meat, one veggie), food was delicious, child friendly, inexpensive and they played nice music.

The café is popular and busy but we found it chilly and in need of cleaning and decorating. It caters for locals rather than visitors.
