This restaurant is a bit off from the area's main attractions, but if you would like a real taste of Portugal, don't miss it. It is busy at lunch hours, so call in advance if you are in a big group. The main courses of...More

Not planned but so glad we were directed here. The owner made us more then comfortable and welcome. The vegetarian with us had mushrooms done with prawns and vegetables but the carnivores tried roast and grilled kid goat and Pata Negra or black ham. What...More

Our last big meal out in Portugal... and it did not disappoint. My sister exclaimed that it was the best meal she had had in years.

This beautiful place is 10min from Sintra city center. It is as traditional as you can get in Portugal, with local dishes, oversized portions designed to share and taste more from the menu. Extensive menu on fish and meats, but NOT to be missed the...More

This restaurant is about 10 minutes drive from Sintra. It has a rural character inside. The food is excellent, the staff very friendly and the price extremely reasonable. The restaurant is about 50 years old and has always been very popular with the locals. I...More

Several types of food, but baby goat is the specialty, really well prepared, and a very good list of wines either, great option in Sintra!!

Traditional restaurant with fantastic food, it will be difficult to choose what to eat, with so many good options. My favorite the duck roasted in the oven. Mr. Pacheco and his family welcome you warmly and with an excellent wine cellar.

Most people in Portugal eat roasted quarters, half or full cabritos, which is served with quartered fried potatoes. I've tasted that from my friends and it was tender, moist, lovely cookies cabrito. But I went instead for the grilled pieces and it was even more...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Is this the same restaurant that used to be in an old gas station about 10 years ago? I am looking for that restaurant that then expanded and moved. From pictures, this looks like the "new" location from what I can see of the inside. They had amazing garlic prawns and in the small place, used to keep the wine in a small, tall, clear refrigerated case in the corner. I went to the old location several times, but only got to go to the "new" location once. I will be in the area again and want to find the place to take friends. Thanks.
