Meal: traditional interesting and tasty So pleased I had a regular customer to guide me or I might not have ventured too far out of my comfort zone. Baby goat had never been on my must-try list. Service was fast friendly and helpful. Costs very...reasonable. Not much in the way of vegetables but I can eat them at home ! Plenty of free off-street car parking outside and the smell wafting towards you from the restaurant is inviting. Very large traditionally furnished no frills family friendly. Stairs might be a problem for people with mobility issues.More

Trilho is located in Albarraque, near the village of Sintra and belongs to the same owner of another famous restaurant Currral dos Caprinos. Both have a good cuisine with a reasonable prices. The baby goat in the oven is one of their specialities.

In a suburb, this restaurant feels like a neighborhood eatery with just good honest meals. Prices are mid range but food is top notch.

This is an old typical restaurant full of options for enjoying a typical portuguese meal. The hunte options are just great and also the lamb and the veal. Very efficient staff and a private parking makes it confortable to visit. Prices slighly high for the...quality.More

We were recommended to this restaurant by the receptionist at the Ibis Sintra, where we were staying. It had an excellent menu, good food and wine at very reasonable prices. Only a short car ride from the Ibis Hotel and has a very large car...park. The staff were very nice and the restaurant had a very nice ambiance. We would certainly dine here again if staying in Sintra. Stayed in Ibis Sintra for 3 nights, this being our local restaurant was our favourite.More

Ok, it might be at the end of the season and we were the first customers but!!! The place was empty except for the waiter, cook and another man doing odds and ends. We were greeted as we approached the top of the stairs and...ushered to our seats. It is a large restaurant with well spaced seating and tables, we were put at a window table which would have been nice if it had not been dark and there had been something to see. The restaurant is situated between a housing estate and an industrial estate and not really on any main tourist route. We ordered our meal starting with the vegetable soup, followed by an Iberian Grill and a sweet. The usual couvert arrived and were we grateful, having finished that half an hour later we started to get a bit concerned. We tried gaining the waiters attention but to no avail, his cleaning of glasses was his main concern. He then started on some paperwork so I thought I'll grab him now. As soon as I stood up he was off. I did catch the cook, she had no English and my Portuguese though coming on was not up to her understanding although she did smile and wave. Eventually thing were stirring, all be it 40 minutes later. The waiter approached with the required accoutrements for dining when I realised not a spoon in sight. "Excuse me, the soup" "A yes the soup, sorry I forgot." and that was it, no would you like it now or even a more meaningful apology. The food we received was very good and hot when it arrived. It consisted of Hare, Venison, Black Pork, Lamb and Chicken I think? The meal was very good and the staff pleasant enough although they could have been a bit more attentive as they were to the family that arrived just before we finished. There was no offer of the customary Port to end the night and I can't remember getting the usual boiled sweet. It must be me, we order vegetable soup every restaurant we eat at as there is such a variation from one to the other but I must say I have not been served the soup almost as often as I have been served it. All in all it was not to bad and we would go back but with our order written down and underlined. Their speciality is the Grill Special which includes, Wild Boar,Black Pig, Crocodile, Zebra, Deer, Kangaroo and others. Maybe next time??More

Nice welcome, tasty dishes, local atmosphere and affordable prices. Quite surprizing near a commercial area of Sintra. You can try some exotic meat if interested.

Be careful when reading the menu on couvert section. It's write down €1,00 per "salgadinho" and they put a plate full of them, even if you don't ask for it, in your table, what gives you an idea you pay just € 1,00 for all,...but they charge you € 1,00 per unit.More
