After seeing amazing reviews reaching nearly 3000 we went thinking it will be nice. We don’t live in Setubal but we usually go to Tasca da Fatinha (closed on Monday) or Leo do Petisco (opens at 19:00 for dinner and this place opens at 18:00)....All together the food was 1*. The place is called king of choco but the choco was chewy, hard and not good quality. Chips/potatoes were soggy. Salad was the only thing fresh. House wine only in a bottle and too strong as I like house wine because it has less alcohol and is slightly sparkly. The other thing that surprised us as we have eaten many times choco frito is sauce that cost 0,80 cents! In general this place felt more like a fast food place which price wise also is not cheap for fast food quality. Not going to come back and going to stick to our favorite spots. Service is also nothing special, you’re in and out as they are pumping orders.More

It mostly about the food... That is great! Fast and simple! You get out with a bit of food smell on your clothes, but thats the trade for the great fried dinner!

Many restaurants in the area claim to be the “king” of fried cuttlefish but it isn’t always that way. I always used to go to a different one on the opposite side of the avenue but I have now made this particular one my go...to restaurant for choco frito, friendly staff, decent prices, good area, easy parking.More

If you're thinking to eat in this restaurant during thevweekend, expect a queue to have a table or go early to try to arrange one. This restaurant has around 80 places. The speciality is Choco Frito, a tradicional plate from Setúbal. A normal meal should...cost around 15€ per person if you don't drink wine. I already eat here for 10€ per person. The Choco Frito dose is more than enough for 3 persons or 2 if you eat well. You have parking slots near the restaurant but in the summer those get full very soon by the persons going to beaches in Tróia by boat.More

The smell inside the restaurant gives the appetite to eat and taste the fried cuttlefish pieces. A salad of lettuce with a few slices of tomatoes gives the perfect match, A beer is the final touch!!!

A fried squid to die for, very busy place, expect you have to wait a bit but that is not for nothing, the presented food is great, the service quick and friendly, nothing but compliments.

We were curious so tried it--once was enough. Cuttlefish is more rubbery texture than cod or other tropically fried fish. We probably should have shared one dish as the serving was very generous. We had no complaints--service was attentive and value is great but we...now know that cuttlefish is just OK.More

Just left the restaurant and there are not many positives things I can say. First of all, this restaurant has no fish at all other than the typical Choco Frito. Since I don't eat that dish I had to choose an omelette. Second, they didn't...have sangria, what also in Setúbal is quite uncommon. Third, the omelette was raw, let's hope I don't get some food sickness. Fourth, the wine was from 2017, it was definitely dead. They excused themselves by saying that the formula had changed for that wine and we ended up asking for another bottle of a different brand, second brand was also horrible and dead, again from 2017. Fifth, at the moment of asking for the deserts they didn't have almost anything. If you're visiting Setúbal I suggest picking any other restaurant, for example Praxedes.More
