We found this restaurant on a wet night when it was nearly full and we were hungry after a day walking round the walled town of Obidos. It served standard Portuguese food (heavy on fish and pork) and seemed to attract a mixture of satisfied locals and visitors. I can't remember anything particularly good or bad about the meal apart... More

I wasn't sure whether to rate this a 4 or 5--I might have gone with 4 only because the food here is very traditional and really isn't out of the ordinary in terms of the kinds of items on offer. But I have to say that although it is the basic Portuguese meat and fish menu, it was prepared very... More

Really good Portuguese family run restaurant, home cooking , massive portions, full of locals and tourists even on a Monday night. Good selection of local wines at reasonable prices. Definitely a must for any trip to Obidos.

This is a family managed restaurant just outside the old town of obidos. Service is well, good English spoken. About the quality of the food, I can be short. It is just ok. We had fish and meat. I have had much better food in Portugal for the same price. I have to say the octopus salad was good. However... More

We went here as it was two steps from our hotel, but were surprised at how wonderful this place turned out to be. Service was excellent and food was delicious. We had grilled octopus, our kids had pork loin with mushrooms, soup and desserts. They LOVED the desserts. House wine was very good. Food seemed to be authentic Portuguese. Highly... More

We had a great dinning experience being cared by the Family. The food is spectacular, servings portions are adequate and in some cases even to share. We just visited in June '16 with our Uncle who lives in Portugal and knows the Family cast. After spending good time in Obido, just fall in and have a wonderful dine. Gilberto -... More

So we planned a dinner and concert for the evening outside the walls of Obibos center and unfortunately we couldn't get into a restaurant that had been recommended to us. Short on time we wandered into Vila Infant a for a quick salad and wine. I must say that the Shrimp and Mango salad was AMONG the best I've ever... More

Very friendly restaurant (5 minute walk from Quinta da Olivia). The owner is charming and informative, speaks good English. The cuisine is Portuguese, and they do a good job with the local fish. Portions are large and sharable

On a local recommendation I went to the Infanta for a Sunday lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to see it is a family owned and operated business, and the food proudly displayed that vibe. I had the special of the day called (loosely translated as) Farm raised Chicken cooked Angolan style. Boy oh boy it was good, in fact I... More

Is is about 1 km outside the city wall of Obidos. We went there in June 2012 and had a fabulous meal and the owner was a very entertaining host with pretty good English. I want to get a review posted so others can share outr experience
