The restaurant announces to be open till 2:00am (this is mentioned in TripAdvisor). I went there with my family, after a one hour trip, at 10pm tonight and it was closed. The employee told me that the reason to be closed was due to cold weather ( temperature was 12 Celsius or 53 F).

Our third annual visit here, and most certainly the best restaurant in obidos! The steaks are cooked to absolute perfection and melt in your mouth! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and very traditional (medieval) and the staff are very helpful and friendly! The service is exceptional and a very reasonable priced restaurant. Book a table to avoid disappointment.

The restaurant is well located in the main street of historic Obidos in a very old house with stone walls. Even we visited the restaurant out of season and in a weekday the restaurant was full packed with clients. We were lucky to have a table for two persons on the second floor available. Our waitress was Marta, a Belgian... More

This restaurant has the feel of a medieval bar carved out of a mountain. They have 2 floors of dining and while the tables are not very big, we didn't feel cramped. They had good choices across the menu including vegetables, fish, meat and chicken. The baked/broiled chicken (not breaded) with pineapple was tasty and not overly sweet. This dish... More

This is a nicely furnished restaurant but unfortunately in our case that was the only positive. We were served by four different staff, the chefs special (cod) was very bland and swimming in oil ! the vegetables were ok, we have had much better meals for half the price. Hugely disappointing.

We called in here at the end of our 7 day visit, we should have gone here "first". It is very good. The Pork dish was more than generous, and the "Ginja cheese cake" is to die for. Once we ordered it, there were looks from around the room and every one was asking for a piece. Service was excellent,... More

Situated in the main street of Obidos about half way from the car park to the castle, this little gem is full of architectural beauty. Natural stone walls and alcoves set this place off a treat. This is an enjoyable dining experience that surpasses expectations, especially if you go for the steak. As good as some steaks I've had at... More

Dropped by to try the local specialty of Ginja in chocolate cups. $ 7.00 for two. The restaurant has stone walls so it's dark and cool - great break from a warm day. Delicious treat.

This restaurant had a great atmosphere, built inside stone that reminds you of the walls of Obidos. I am not a meat eater and my dad is so that had plenty of options for both of us. The service was great! I really enjoyed the Pineapple chicken dish that I had and I know my parents enjoyed their food too.
