I went to this restaurant on mid January 2017. The food was very good. The restaurant is traditional and its environment involves you in the traditional portuguese music "Fado". If this kind of music is something you enjoy please do visit this restaurant by night when there will be also live "fado" music. Due to the fact that there is... More

We went to A Severa last Jan/7th, recommended by the reception of my hotel and liked it very much. The rooms were totally full, most patrons tourists, but some Portuguese families too. The restaurant walls are covered in beautiful blue tiles and there is no special stage. While you are having dinner, lights are dimmed and two guitar players and... More

Avoid this place if you go for a Fado experience Overpriced food "goes well" with pushy waiters Singers are by far not the best and provide very limited performance Plenty of nice places around the towns Avoid it !!!

It's very nice restaurant. There are warm atmosphere and great singers of Fado in A Severa. Food is delicious as well:) I recommend you to visit this restaurant if you will be in Lisbon.

After reading the reviews i was hesitant to make a reservation but i am glad i did! The restaurant is owned and operated (probably) by the same family since 1955. They were able to maintain the look and feel of the restaurant. The authenticity of the place and the impeccable service is something to admire. Our waiter, which i am... More

If you are looking for a legitimate house's Fado in Lisbon, I highly recommend "*A SEVERA*", _on Rua das Gaveas 69_. There you will arrive a intimate atmosphere and listen Fado indeed. Old singers have their _albums _ show in a classic style. Good food, good drinks and good music.

Over priced and if a vegetarian avoid at all costs. We were persuaded to go here by the taxi driver. This was against my better judgement. The food was expensive and tasteless. The vegetarian option was a tasteless overcooked plate of vegetables. Music ok. The restaurant itself was clean and bright.

The food is fine but not great. You should come to this place for the atmosphere and the music which is great.

Wine was good, coffee hot and tasteful, but the seafood was catched and cooked in a vacuum cleaner. After two nights delicious meals a disappointment, a disappointing experience!
