In terms of the food and location it was nice and modern. The service was average and the price was quite expensive. If you're not on a budget then go for it!

See above, but the coffee was great and it was nice to see what they did in the interior with can's (got some ideas of myself now).

Spent both daytime and late night at this bar. Daytime was excellent, late night not so as service was amateurish and sloppy. Knowledge of drinks not on menu - Moscow Mule - was poor.

We visited here for both coffee and then dinner on the same evening. Food was ok but nothing special but the service was very good and the location was very nice indeed.

Perfect for lunch, this restaurant was what we need after a long walk around the city. Great service, fresh seafood pasta and homemade burgers, perfect location just on the square, not pricey, very reasonable!

We stopped by for a drink on our way back to our cruise ship. Seated very quickly in the sunshine (it's a great people watching venue) but took ages for waiter to come with our cocktail and beer. Chased up (we weren't in a hurry...More

We sat in the outside area with great views onto the main square. The concept of canned food brings to mind baked beans and hoops but boy this place has it all. You have to try it and I bet you will be ordering supplies...More

It is hard to think of a better location for a restaurant in Lisbon. And apparently the owners of CAN the CAN decided that the location will do all the job and nothing else is needed. Or - to be precise - everything else can...More

Great location. Visited multiple times and found drinks and food well prepared and decently priced. Service is spotty. When busy it's a dice roll on whether you'll be acknowledged, let alone served. So, go to enjoy ambience and the experience.

We went there for cocktails and was really disappointed. They were really expensive and contained mostly ice.

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply
"Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake
construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755
earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in
Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the
Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the

Description
Conserves have always been around. But there is one small group of them (and one that it is worth getting to know) that resides at the margins of Lisbon's Terreiro do Paço – or, more precisely, at the Can the Can restaurant. This is a place where Portuguese canned and fresh foods meet every day and where, at the hands of chef Akis Konstantinidis, they combine to create a new concept in Mediterranean cuisine.Various typically Portuguese products are on show here, such as, for example, the best Port wines. And if you find that you like them as much as we think you may, you can always take them with you, too, courtesy of our first-floor store. On top of all this, we believe that if we sometimes eat with our eyes, then our ears can also help us to savour the best flavours. That's why you will find your meal accompanied by Portuguese guitar music every afternoon on the terrace and, in the evenings, by unique kinds of Fado. Our FadoLab project is the place where the Fado of yesteryear meets and is rejuvenated by Fado styles of today in a musical atmosphere free of grand ceremony or rules of behaviour. With all this in mind, we wish to say no more than our door is always open and no-one needs to ask in advance if they may enter. You'll find us here at your disposal.
