Nice little restaurant in a small side street of the rua dos remédios with a very small terrace in front of the restaurant. Very friendly service. One of the waiters even showed me the way to an ATME in person. We ate robalo grelhado (€6,80 pp), realy delicious. Together with a pitcher of white wine (1 litre ), desert and... More

I was living in a flat 2 minutes walking distance from this little restaurant so i tried it first day i was in Lisbon. I kept going there mostly everyday. People who work there are lovely and kind, fish always fresh and wine and alcohol super nice. I felt like i have a family in Lisbon going there and everyday... More

This 'restaurant' - which is a family-run local's cafe, looks nothing from the outside, but the food is top notch! Lunch of a full sea bass, potatoes and salad = €7.50, while 0.5L of house white was €1.50. Could not recommend enough

Located right in the heart of Alfama, this restaurant serves a Table d'Hôte menu which costs 10 or 12 euro. The price includes also a glass of red or white wine. The food is good. The owner is a very honest and nice person. I don't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

This place was gorgeous. Simple clean fresh food with excellent friendly service Not fancy but lovely and a third of the price for an overated restaurant within 209 metres of each other. Four of us dined last night ok Fado music provided but felt ripped off. Tonight perfect.

If you don't mind waiting for a long time to be served food, go, because the food is good and pretty cheap. We got there at around 2p.m. and only got served at around 3:30p.m.. We were starving, so it wasn't very pleasant. We had the lunch menu, that included a drink, bread, a main course and a dessert for... More

This restaurant has verry good service, taste and friendly people. Big portion, very tender veal. We paid only €40 for 4people for 4meal, 0.5L sangria, 3liter mineral water, 3 bread, and 1house puding. Very cheap for the quality and quantity. You should try this restaurant, nothing could be better in Lisboa than this restaurant

Big portions, tender veals and chicken, great taste. The people are kind, friendly and helpful, even when I didn't speak a lick of Portuguese. Price is quite reasonable too. And the house pudding is too die for. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Lisbon!

Amazing family restaurant where brother and sister in pension are running this little family business with the help of their kids. Amazing food prepared by Fernanda and her sister-in-low, served by her brother Antonio and her husband. Nothing tastes so good and healthy as home cooked and that's exactly what you get here. We felt uncomfortable paying a bill of... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
