First went here over 20 yrs ago when Bairro Alto was quiet, calm and virtually deserted. How things have changed. Bairro Alto is more like Vegas now. Chines is sill there though, just the same as before. Yes, the service is a bit hit and...More

This bar gets great reviews in the guide books and it is quirky. However avoid - pretentious and the service was abysmal. Didn’t get served at the table, moved to bar after five minutes and didn’t get served there either. We left!

We decided to check this place out as one of our guide books had great things to say about it. It's very odd when you walk in- there are plenty of seats. All the walls have glass cases from floor to ceiling full of bric...More

A collection of elements that don’t fit, but surprisingly it works. A curiosity shop decor, chaotic in style but slick service and a dance soundtrack. Something for everyone!

When entering, you are greeted by walls full with art, toys and hats. The staff are all dressed up in red vests, resembling the style from the prohibition era, of which this bar is likely an homage to. The menu pamphlet shows art from a...More

Amazing interior (with potential). We just wanted to have a quiet drink and maybe play some billiards. The staff were all extremely unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. We left the place after one beer with a staff member slamming the door behind us. Worth...More

This is a collectors dream, a vintage lovers dream, and of course a cocktail lovers dream. I have been here on every trip to Lisbon for the last 6 years (4 trips!) and it never disappoints. The wait staff is extremely friendly--on our last visit...More

This bar was terrible. The décor and collection is so outdated. It reminds me of an 80s hotel lobby. The music was also of this era and very cheesy. There was no atmosphere in the place and everyone looked depressed. The waiting staff were unfriendly...More

There's nowhere else I've ever been that matches the quirkiness of this place! What seems like hundreds of cabinets filled with vintage items, 80s music playing and waiters in waistcoats! Yes the drinks are expensive but it's worth it for the weirdness and eccentricity.
