My girlfriend and I went here during our trip to Lisbon and decided to come back again the following day, as there is so much diversity on the menu and everything was really good. Perhaps not the best Indian food I have ever eaten, but surely among the best couple of Indian restaurants I've been to over the years. I... More

WE found this restaurant was near our hotel in Lisbon and highly recommended on Tripadvisor. WE went on Friday night and it was busy but we got a table. WE had beer , bottle of wine , 2 main dishes and 2 rice. All for 40€! Although we eat Indian food often in England this food was probably the best... More

We had a delicious meal of Tikka masala chicken and spicy lamb stew accompanied by warm naan and jasmine rice. We had the seven layer cake with Indian chai for dessert. The decor was cozy, the staff efficient, we would definitely return again! Yummy!

Great service, extremely tasty food and good vegetarian options. Recommend if you are looking to satisfy a craving for Indian food after walking through Alfama.

Only a few words. Staff were really friendly - even if I was on my own they made sure I got a decent table. Food was very tasty - chilli beef spicy enough and decent sag aloo. Serve Cobra so no issues there. Was quite busy on a Wednesday so suggest booking.

As soon as we walked in the door we knew this restaurant matched any we had visited in Ireland. We were treated so well and the food was rich and full of flavour. The bill was not expensive. We loved it and will return on our next visit to Lisbon.

A gem of a restaurant, serving tasty Indian fare in a local, cosy atmosphere. The lamb Tikka and lamb Byriani were especially nice, accompanied by Cobra beer and cheese naan bread. Service was good and the staff friendly.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
