This is seriously the best Indian food I have ever tried (and I've tried many in some of the largest capitals like London)!!! We have gone back 3-4 times in a month because it... More

We eat at the Resturant twice in recent visit to Lisbon. The Tadka Dal Karahi Chicken and mixed vegetable curry were very nice. I have always found the service to be very pleasant and will visit again in future trips to Lisbon.

Dined here twice during our holiday. Very tasty food at reasonable prices. I would recommend the chicken byriani and the chicken karai.

We went there 9th of february a little bit hungry and it was a culinary master piece. We had non vege and vege dishes and both were very good! I had chicken and i dont remember where i had so masterfully cooked chicken, this might be the best one yet. Definitely going there again.

Visited Lisbon for a couple of days with my girlfriend. We're both vegetarians and Portuguese cuisine can be quite meat heavy (unless you eat loads of pastel de nata, which we did :-) so this place was perfect. It is really near the praca do comercio, which is right down at the waterfront and is served by a bunch of... More

If you are in Lisbon and looking for a proper indian food you must head here to India Gate. We are here as tourists but this is a place we wish we could visit often.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
