The restaurant was completely empty except for us, but it didn't deserve to be. Even empty, the atmosphere was great. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. We had the house wine which was local, cheap, and tasty. Service was great - attentive but unobtrusive.

Happened on this by accident when wandering around Castelo. The place was pretty full but we got a seat on the deck to the front overlooking the street immediately. Both went for steaks and they were huge (probably a bit too much), nicely prepared and...More

Lisbon foodies and bohemians feel a real affection for Le Petit Bistro, a French restaurant and wine bar in Bica/Bairro Alto, founded by former music producer Pascal Chesnot. As cute as the little dog of its logo, Le Petit Bistro is a loveable retro space with doors that open onto the narrow cobbled street. Lounge on red leather sofas nursing a hot coffee or, if you’re here before a night out, a great cocktail. What’s to eat? A daily-changing list of simple traditional French treats, a mixture of Mediterranean and vegetarian dishes, enhanced by a select list of Portuguese wines and French desserts. At weekends, join the homely gathering for a big, soulful Le Petit Bistro brunch.
