This cafe definitely has a personality. It has a great feel, the staff are friendly and it's good value. The cakes looked fantastic but we were there for breakfast. Someone knows, understands and loves their food here. The coffee was good once I'd asked for it to be hotter. My only criticism is that the menus were worn & tatty.

Friendly staff who speak good English. Lovely cupcakes, coffee and home made lemonade. As others have said this isn't a place for locals but a nice stop for travellers in a friendly neighbourhood.

Lovely cafe with a refreshing fresh menu, and a massive break from the laminated picture menu that lisbon is full of. To see people comment that it is expensive is crazy, my only 1 complaint is it is a little slow. In a nice part of the alto with other options near by. Would def recommend

Love, love love the atmosphere, so cozy and easy going with super friendly staff and lovely dishes. Not only are the cakes, and cupcakes out of this world delicious but I even ordered a birthday cake which received rave reviews. The soup, sandwiches, coffees, reason are all excellent. I have frequented many times for the top notch 5 euro deal, toast... More

We are so sorry you didn't enjoy our food, service and prices. We try our best, of course, and yes, sometimes our team does take a bit longer because we do everything at the time the food is ordered. Regarding the prices we have to disagree. We charge 5 euros for a main course, soup and drink. Our Expresso is... More

We found this cafe through a Google search of 'best places to eat breakfast in Lisbon' and decided to Uber over using the address. So glad we did! Best attempt at English breakfast tea (just one word of advice, serve the milk cold, not hot!), great toasties and amazing cupcakes. Quirky decor. Great service. Very reasonable prices: We had two... Usually only 650m from the famous Miradourode Sao Pedro de Alcantara (vista point), we walked in a big loop to find this little place (our GPS was geographically challenged!) and were so glad we persisted! Intending on only purchasing cupcakes, as various forums suggest is the specialty at Tease, we stayed for coffee, lunch, AND cupcakes. The interior decor was... More

Staying in Principe Real

Neighbourhood Profile
Principe Real
From the splendid garden and its cafe-kiosk to its restaurants, Príncipe Real is more than worthy of a visit and it won't let you down: its attractions include "Pavilhão Chinês" (one of the more eccentric interior designs you'll ever see), museums and a fantastic botanical garden. It's also a commercial neighborhood, and you can visit a renovated Palace, home of the Embaixada (embassy) trendy shopping center with its cafes, art galleries and luxury shops... and even if you don't buy anything, take a look inside just for its marvellous interiors. On top of this, Príncipe Real offers a variety of places to eat: if you're in a hurry, drop by "Pizza a Pezzi"; and if you're not, taste the delicious Honorato hamburgers, Argentinian cuisine at La Paparrucha and also great, delicious Portuguese food at Tascardoso!
