Well if th3 food was good it was not worth the price!! We stopped by for an evening meal. The menu was good, not exceptional, but ok. The food was nice and service ok but very, very expensive and not good value given there were...More

Positives first. Good coffee. Good pastel de nata. Reasonable priced. Poor service - it shouldn’t be hard to put a smile on your face if you’re a waiter but clearly he wasn’t going to!

I'll get to the point: avoid any restaurant with photographs of the food on the menu. This place was way overpriced, the food was poor, and the service rude. It was clearly a tourist spot. Avoid.

This place has a great breakfast menu The actual menu offers pictures of all available selections which helps. The Orange juice is fresh. The coffees are exceptional. If your small table is a bit too small they put a larger tabletop on it to make...More

It is rare to find places where the service is horrible and slow, the food not so good, and prices are quite expensive. Cafe Nicola has managed to combine all three for our lunch session. The only positive was that the waiter spoke english.

This busy restaurant looked really inviting with a fancy stone frontage and pavement tables under the trees. Surprisingly for central Lisbon, the mature waiter didn't speak English (..or did he really?). It's not a hanging offence to stick to your native tongue (we were in...More

Nothing special, not cosy at all... Interior since 1935 modern Deco, has some interest aspect though if you like that.. People claim there are 5 iconic Lisbon cafes, incl . this one (but it's only Versailles and Brasiliera; okay: 3. Martinho Arcada). But this one...More

Our first night in Lisbon and we wanted to experience an authentic traditional meal and with no need to people and street watch, sat inside. The grilled cod fish was dry and unappetising with blandly cooked vegetables and the Nicosia salad had the beans substituted...More

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply

earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
