Superb view over the river, nice terrace, very nice staff, and fair self-service food. Away from the crowd in the heart of the historic centre. Recomended!

I really don`t understand how this place does not have a ton of good reviews, but probably its hidden location must be part of the answer. for 9.5 Euros you get a starter, a main dish, a drink and a desert plus a spectacular front view of the River . The food is well made and the Note: this is... More

Quiet place to have a coffee or a lunch menu for only €9.5 (soup or salad/pasta or meat/dessert) Not The finest dish but OK for that price.

Service was pleasant but the foie gras starter was actually a mousse of foie gras...pleasant but not "as billed". The mains were good, but as stated before we set the bar high based on the price and venue. On a value basis, therefore, it receives an average rating even though we found nothing unpleasant with the meal or service

It's great for watching sunsets or just enjoying the view of the river while reading a book! This is THE place to come and drink coffee with an amazing view! The staff is nice and helpful, specially Mr. Abílio. They have a lunch menu which includes a soup or salad, main course with a side dish, dessert and drink plus... More

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
