Great terrace very quiet and great service. It is a little hard to find as you need to go through a corridor to reach the terrace. The terrace is shared with another couple of restaurants. The pizza is simply outstanding.

We were walking through Rua Garret when we saw a small entrance to an inner courtyard. There we discovered this lovely terrace. Italian food always appeals to me, so we sat down and ordered a nice pizza and a bottle of wine. The wine was excellent, the pizza was tasty, and the waiters were friendly. We spent a joyful evening... More

I am Italian and I tried many pizzerie in the world, and I can say that the pizza in Mezzogiorno is one of the best pizza I have ever had in my life. However, you need to eat outside where there's a beautiful romantic atmosphere, but inside it's just terrible. I am so sorry to say that. Nevertheless in winter... More

Over a 5 day visit to lisbon we went here 2 nights in a row simply because it was so good. Lovely selection of starters and pizza is fantastic, really good base crispy where it should toppings to perfection. Good selection of desserts. House wine local Portuguese red at €3 per generous glass was delicious. Didn't intend coming to lisbon... More

The pizzas were great here. We tried the gnocchi as well which was good. Staff were courteous although extremely busy. We sat outdoors which was perfect for a sunny afternoon. We had a great lunch here.

Came here again after reading reviews. Initially searched for best neapolitan pizza in Lisbon and this place came up. What can I say I ve been to Naples and this place does a good substitute. Really tasty and in a nice little courtyard setting. Price for pizza margherita was €8.50 sprite about €3 so not badly priced for a very... More

Had a lovely tasty lunch here during our recent trip to Lisbon. Menu was good, prices very fair for city centre. Lovely outdoor dining area to relax and enjoy food while the sun shines down. Pizzas were delicious and the chips are homemade. Staff attentive and friendly. Recommend this place highly.

After mistakenly sitting down before being shown to a table by one of the waiting staff (which there were more of than customers, to make their service even more deplorable) we were completely ignored for half an hour despite asking to be served numerous times. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so there was no excuse. To rub it in... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
