Having read reviews on trip advisor we went to great lengths to find this restaurant. There were only 3 people there when we arrived and they were just paying the bill and leaving. Two more people did arrive shortly afterwards but that was it so there wasn't much of an atmosphere. I ordered the rigatoni, my husband ordered veal cooked... More

The food is OK, but the service is awful. I don't expect waiters/waitresses to fawn over me, but I do expect a marginal effort to be polite and friendly. Lisbon is a great city with wonderful people and you don't need to be treated like a mongrel who has wandered in off the street. Avoid this place and go somewhere... More

Very nice place. Great starters followed by some nice spaghetti served with fresh tomato sauce, very simple but well done and was delicious. Cannelloni very nice also. Kids had pizza which again was cooked with fresh ingredients and as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. We all had different desserts and everyone enjoyed there choice. Nice atmosphere with kind,... More

Decided to try this place out on the evening for a meal with my father & grandfather. Looks a lovely, small, warm feeling restaurant. Nice decor, food was very lovely, we all enjoyed it. However the service was a little awkward. Not very friendly, no smiles or anything. Almost like they didn't want us in there as it seemed predominantly... More

Visited for late lunch and they managed to squeeze us in at a table at the back as they were pretty full. Very reasonable wine list and good priced meals. Both had pizza which was very tasty - just what we wanted.

Had dinner here on our last night in Lisbon. Very friendly staff and the food was great. You might need to make a reservation though as by the time we left the restaurant was full with more prople arriving. They had a strange thing of bringing out a couple of pre dinner dishes without being ordered but if you dont... More

We liked the food and the service was very friendly. Prices were reasonable and it seemed like they worked very hard on the food. I had the seafood pasta which was excellent- seafood very fresh

My boyfriend and I recently visited this establishment for my birthday. We were almost turned away despite us reserving a table. The waitress didn't seem to want to smile and the food was terrible. I am convinced the pizza was a ready made store bought pizza. The pasta I ordered was extremely watery and instead of pancetta that was described... More

Ingredients in Europe are sometimes fresher than your own country so it did not matter that we ate Italian food in Portugal. This place is a small neighborhood-esq place. The food isn't anything if write home about but it does provide some variety. The staff is funny and trendily. I worked in a restaurant when I was young and would... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
