Terrific spot to meet people and to go on time machine 1 or 2 centuries back, excellent choice of cakes and drinks with larger than life sense. Patisserie is a real Ali Baba's cave for cake lovers, but be aware in a sweet term-you are only to blame yourself to indulge in something which you have ordered. Very helpful and patient... More

Versalhes, by tradition, have, best sweets and cakes for the Season. You need to reserve the best traditional King cake, otherwise, you have to wait long time, before you leave the shop. Loads of people buy all kind of sweets, available only on this occasion.

We visted this on the way to the Metrol to go down into town. I'm very glad we stopped! The shop opens into a fairly decent size restaurant with a massive glass chiller along the right hand wall featuring all their delicious cakes and pastries. We were shown to a seat and told the waiter what cakes we wanted. We... More

A crowded, loud and busy place. Pastries and coffee were good, nothing extraordinary. Much better than the 'touristy' pastelarias in the centre of the city. The building itself is beautiful.

Stopped there in search of some Portuguese breakfast that is more on the sweet side and this place is absolutely the right choice. It reminds you of a French coffee house , a place where time passes by a bit slower and locals come and go ( quite a lot of them in the hour we spent there ). Service... More

There was major difficulty in communicating in this 'French' restaurant with our affable and very Portugese waiter. My 'side order' of vegetables became a course on its own! Nevertheless, our voluble and opinionated octet were well-catered-for.

Opened in the 1920s much of the area appears to be original. The selection of cakes is mouth watering. Spent a couple of pleasant late night sessions recently being served by smart and attentive waiters. They do food as well however not sure of breadth of menu as I'm a porky cake person. A good selection of drink (hard and... More

We visited and purchased some delicious biscuits to take home to our apartment on the first day of our stay, they were packed beautifully in a little box and much nicer than a packet from the supermarket. The next day we sat down for a drink, just managed to resist the fantastic array of cakes on display. Many people seem... More
