We decided to try this place for we wanted only to eat fish, seafood in Portugal. They automatically put bread, butter, cheese on the table and charge you extra for it. They don't serve you tap water. It's assumed you will order bottled water. The seafood rice dish is like Spain's paella with a different flair to it. We enjoyed... More

I cannot believe that this restaurant is still in business. Perhaps this was a bad service day, but the food and the pricing was horrific. They charge the patrons for bread...ok I get that. But they also charge 1 euro for a tiny pad of butter. The food was not really tasty either. The check that I was originally delivered... More

Traditional portuguese, fish looked lovely. I had a nice veal dish and my husband's suckling pig was superb

Wow tough reviewing crowd! I came here twice over 4+ days, as the restaurant is right across from the Sana Lisboa Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and offered a menu in (I think) 6 different languages. The menu features very nice seafood and meat choices, and the helpings were both large Ana very tasty. I would strongly... More

Fresh not expensive seafood. Compact inside. Very quiet. Good service. Not romantic place. So, if you hungry - This place sounds like "food/eat & go" :) enjoy it anyway.

My wife and I were visiting Lisbon and arrived during a Sunday afternoon in our nearby hotel at Marques de Pombal. As some local restaurants are shut at this time (including a trip advisor recommendation nearby), we asked advice from the receptionist and this was one of 2 recommendations. We enjoyed our first meal sufficiently that we did not seek... More

We ate at O Cardo our 1st night in Lisbon. We got in early evening to our hotel, and found O Cardo about a block and a half away. The place looked nice, the menu was interesting, we were tired and so we settled in. I had the gambas "al ajillo" which was prawns boiled and served in olive oil... More

Close to Marques de Pombal Square, you can find some of well-known portuguese dishes. Tip 1 - try the grilled sardines, simply delicious! Tip 2 - check the daily menu where you will find great offers

Restaurants in Lisbon seems like a food chain. They all look alike and they all have the same dishes. No substitutions allowed. On the other hand, in spite of the simple culinary techniques they use, food quality is always good. Don't make mistakes: a Grilled fish with boiled potates will always be a fantastic meal in Lisbon. This palce was... More

We went there on our first evening out in , Lisbon, loooking for a fish diner. The shrimp cocktail was excelent and the main course, sole a la meuniere was above all expecation. As a desert we had ananas with madeira which was quite good. As a aftermath we had Coffee with caipirinha. The vinho verde with the dinner was... More
