We heard about this restaurant from a couple we met on a scenic tour of Lisbon and surroundings, who also were staying in the Alfama district. This was our second attempt in a row to find a good restaurant in the area of our hotel,...More

A delicious pork Cataplan and a great dessert. Recommended by our hotel staff. It was a quiet night with plenty of room in the overflow room. Good service. Tasty wine and SuperBock beer.

Stayed near to Castelo de S Jorge and in November it’s busy by day and empty by night so wanted a restaurant with good local food and a great buzz not quiet and empty. Farol de Santa Luzia provided just this and more. The menu...More

Recommended by our hotel staff close by, Farol de Santa Luzia did not disappoint. This is an "old school" Portuguese neighborhood restaurant located in the hills of Lisbon's Alfama District close to the Castille de Jorge and, meters from a trolley stop on the famed...More

The warning bells should have gone off when we entered this characterless restaurant. The efficient service started by delivering stale bread, inedible olives and bad wine. This was followed by dried out cheese and bland cold meats. Our main course comprised of a tasteless clam...More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel so we had our fingers crossed it would be ok. We found it during the afternoon and I have to say it didn’t look very impressive from the outside. We went ahead and ate there in the evening...More

No complaints here. The food was very tasty and comforting on a cool night. Service was perfect and not overbearing. The fish stew for two was a perfect sized portion.

In one of the seven hills of Lisbon, between Alfama and the Castle and looking at the viewpoint of Santa Luzia, is a cozy and traditional, rustic restaurant, serving typical dishes from traditional Portuguese cuisine. Housed in a XVIII century building, preserves the aura that gives it a certain charisma.
