We found this place on TripAdvisor. It was tucked away down a side street and one would have missed it otherwise. It specialises in cod. Nearly all of the dishes are cod-based. Sadly, there was no cod in batter, but, hey, you can't have everything....More

While in Lisbon, we had to try the bacaulha otherwise our trip would have been for naught. This restaurant was a few blocks from our hotel and it was a pleasant stroll. We each had the bacaulha prepared differently so we could share. I had...More

If you want to enjoy your cod, make effort to come here. Book table prefferably. All kind of cod meals are fantastic, so I hardly sustained myself from stalking other people's meals with my hungry puppy eyes. Wine selection is matching food quality, so no...More

Here's how they operate folks: Don't give you time to review menu, pushy about what to order and over charge you for crappy food. Six of us, four pitchers of sangeria 2 meat/cheese plates for $146 eu. These people are hustlers. Avoid them!

Excellent food, great service and good wine list. I had the black pork and my husband had the grilled codfish. Couldn't fault anything and would thoroughly recommend.

As we were visiting Lisbon for a few days we looked for typical Portuguese food. Based on what we did read on TripAdvisor we went to Laurentina. As we entered in the restaurent and heard mainly locals we knew this was probably a good place....More

Coming to Portugal without having tasted codfish, is like going to Italy without eating pizza. At Laurentina, you will find a large choice of codfish specialities. The place is a little bit excentred, not far away from the Corté Ingles. There are too large rooms...More

The restaurant is well-known for its wide menu of cod fish meals. It is an elegant setting with a bit higher prices, but good value for such quality. Our group tried several cod fish meals and everybody was very satisfied with their food. The service...More

Description
The Laurentina Restaurant, the King of the Cod, is distinguished for the quality of its plates and services since 1976, as much in true plates of Mozambican origin, as in the Portuguese traditional kitchen. In a friendly environment, it provides the pleasure of a true meal of Cod, confectioned of diverse forms, being certainly one of the best ones of Portugal.
