We LOVED the Casa dos Ovos Moles em Lisboa. We visited this bakery through an Airbnb experience to learn how to make the incredible pastel de nata, which I would highly recommend. The atmosphere and set up is so incredibly adorable. The owners were so...nice and knowledgeable about the history of the pastel de nata. The pastry is so packed with history (and flavor), it was a highlight of the trip to Lisbon.More

We stumbled on this while walking in the Chiado shopping area. It was a delight to chat to the owner of this shop and cafè as we tasted her specialities from different regions of Portugal. Most of the cakes are made with the egg yokes,...which were traditionally left when using the whites to stiffen the priests white robes. This was a way of using up the yokes while creating something tasty. I really liked the figs. They also have baking courses.More

We bumped into this little shop while waling around bairro alto and couldnt help but buying a box of ovos moles from Aveiro (a traditional sweet from North Portugal). The shop owner was so lovely and the sweets tasted so fresh and great I had...to come here and recommend. They have a whole variety of portuguese sweets and coffees. Worth the visitMore

We stopped at Ovos Moles, as we liked to have a cup of coffee and some local sweets after a long day of walking. The staff was incredible patient, explaining us what the sweets consist. We followed personal recommendation and ... it was just great....Definitely a place to stop by when around the neighborhood.More

The central store of two locations - this cafe/sweet shop is well designed, has friendly, english speaking staff and sells delicious, traditional Lisbon egg based desserts. We got 2 dozen ovos moles in a trendy box to take home as gifts, they last up to...three weeks - a unique dessert that is cheaper, more transportable (and arguably sweeter) than the pasteis de nata you see everywhere.More
