We'd been recommended this place and I'm so glad we went as we would never gone in had we not been told about it. The canteen restaurant really is so easy to miss with its small door way and collection of about 10 tables. It isn't much to look at but the experience there is fantastic. The waiter (who was... We went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening as many other places were closed. Because each menu item is a shareable meal for 2 people you should come with another person and make sure you are hungry! The portion sizes were really large. We only ordered two dishes: grouper with shrimp and rice, and, the black pork secret with... More

Great atmosphere is created by the restaurant waiter Ugo in this small, homely and very busy restaurant with traditional Portuguese food. The food is delicious and meal sizes extremely generous and service comes with a smile and humour. This unpretentious restaurant gets very busy and you will be lucky to get a seat.

Small restaurant so be there early. Very nice service! Friendly and always ask if you're happy enough. Barely tourists, most native people sitting, eating, drinking and talking. Food is delicious and great for the money you pay! We had fish and got a surprise, it was a perfect dinner! Try the desserts, definitely worth it! We'll go there again the... More

Unfortunately I can't give any opinion about the food. I was travelling alone and went to this restaurant (recommendation of some friends). I asked for a table and they answered me: if you're alone we can't give to you a table. I also need to add that there were only 2 people waiting outside and it was during the week..

My girlfriend and me, a couple of Italians, two hours ago at the taberna. We come to the place, it is full, we wait 10 minutes outside. Then a table becomes available but the waiter gives it to another couple, pretending they came earlier. Sure, I say, whatever. The waiter gives us a menu and tells us to wait 10... More

Very small place, looks like my mother's kitchen, they only have 9 or 10 tables, probably always looks busy and crowded, but that's the charm of it. Great food, try the shrimps (as a starter, a huge starter by the way), I don't know how they make that sauce but it's fantastic. The fish was great too. Very big plates,... More
