We came here to grab drinks and watch the sunset and were not disappointed. It wasn't crowded, so there was ample seating on a few different levels. We chose the lounge chairs on the lowest level closest to the lift, and had a great time just taking in the views and our surroundings. There wasn't table service, but we were totally fine running up to the bar to grab drinks. Tips for the best experience: -Bring a light jacket if you'll be there after sundown and its the least bit windy. In late August we were freezing being up in the higher part of the city, when it was perfectly comfortable down on the lower streets. -If you're planning to take the Santa Justa lift down, be aware that it typically only runs every 10 minutes, and holds a max of 15 people going down. We ended up being so cold, 10 minutes felt like a lifetime so we took an Uber instead. -Service here was slower than what we experienced elsewhere in Lisbon, which we were totally fine with. i wouldn't recommend stopping here when you're on a time crunch. I'd plan it for a day you can take your time, relax and enjoy the view.

During our stay in September we discovered this bar after Santa Julia lift and then came back twice. It can be also access by their own lift or by the small square behind near the museum. The cocktails were simply great (and also good looking 😀). The bar is huge with space of tables and sittings in the very top and other with low tables and sofas. Service was often slow, but we were not in a hurry and enjoyed the view. In the evenings there is also music

We kind of by accident ended up at this spot with a large group looking for a place to eat. We happened to be lucky, they had prepared a large table for a group that did not show up (or could not find it). So we had dinner with the group. Nothing fancy, burgers and pizza. It was decent but nothing special and some of the fries were served almost cold. But we had a good time with the group. Unfortunately the heaters did not work so even with our coats on it was not very warm sitting outside.

Firstly, this place is really difficult to find so leave plenty of time to work our how to get there! Once we did finally find the entrance, the staff seemed less than interested in greeting us and just told us quite rudely to ‘go up’ after we interrupted their personal conversation. Once we got in the lift up, we were pleased to see a lovely view as the sun went down. We were then greeted by a more friendly female member of staff who let us choose a seat by the balcony area. The drinks are expensive and the cocktails were mainly ice so this was a bit disappointing, we also waited quite a while for them. We decided to have a some nachos with guacamole for €7, but when they came the portion size was minuscule with just a handful of tortilla chips, definitely not good value. There was another member of staff who looked like a manager walking round and ignoring/being quite blunt with customers which didn’t make for a good atmosphere... Overall, the view is nice but there are definitely cheaper places with nice views and more pleasant staff who don’t look down their nose at you!

Whilst the views from this bar are absolutely breathtaking, the negative attitude and overall demeanour of the host far outweighs any positives. Upon our arrival, the host was not available to seat us. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, we began walking towards the bar to ask where we should sit. At this point, the host, who we had assumed was another patron as he had been ignoring my party & was texting on his phone, approached us & asked in an accusatory manner if we needed help. When we asked for a table, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we were led to the furthest corner of the rooftop & were seated beside the kitchen, where the open doors emitted what can only be described as a hellish heat, on an already balmy evening. My husband was looking for the bathroom & was approached by the host who gestured to the toilets in an aggressive manner. We waited a further 15 minutes for someone to take our order. When no one had approached us by then, we left the establishment. During our visit to Topo Chiado the host acted as though we were a major inconvenience to him, with an arrogance that was grossly unwarranted. My party had looked forward to visiting Topo Chiado & were extremely disappointed by our treatment. I would not recommend a visit.

The view is gorgeous. The food and drinks are really not impressive. Its a casual european menu: we had a salmon salad, burger and mixed board. The board was disappointing, fries were too oily and overcooked. The salmon salad was soggy and not tasty. The staff is nice and friendly - Honestly I think the place has a lot of potential if they fix the food. Would only recommend for a drink.

Great bar/outdoor lounge for a late afternoon drink. Drinks are really good. We had Sangria Espumante, was great and refreshing. Food is not the thing here. We ate a selection of cheese, nachos/guacamole and samosas. It was OK, but no more. Enjoy the drinks and the view.

stopped in here for dinner. finding this place was a CHALLENGE to say the least because the normal entrance was closed. We ended up being 25minutes late for our reservation just trying to find the place. once we got there though, the view was beautiful & the drinks were worth the trek. only complaint I had was the bathroom facilities were not nice at all & definitely need to be tended to. other than that, it was definitely worth a visit

Rooftop more known to locals with beautiful biews of the cathedral and Santa Justa Lift. Cocktails are delicious and the food was yummy. The music was great too. It gets a little chilly at night, so bring a jacket.

We visited for a drink.staff were friendly, drinks were pricy for size/quality but happy to pay a bit extra for a great view and outdoor seating.

We had a hard time finding it but once we did we totally enjoyed it. Eventhough we had no reservation we were given a lovely table with a great view. The food was tasty and the service great. Reasonably priced.

I decided to have a glass of wine just to kill some time. Everything went so smoothly. Service was fast and kind. Big thank to the waiter named Felipe! Really made my day!

Great buzzy ‘roof top’ bar in the centre of Lisbon. Cocktails were reasonably priced and food looked great. A nightmare to find the entrance though and toilets are awful

Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
