This restaurant is on the second floor. Pretty unique with all the tiles. Excellent value for money as well. The cheese starter is so big, I kept the other half for dessert. Lamb chops is a whole plate full, and the cod is the cooked...More

Took my family there for dinner, and was looking for a typical friendly manner that anyone would get in Alentejo... we arrived, and they had NO idea who arrived first (as no staff was keeping a record of who arrived at what time) After many...More

We were recommended this resturant. Set upstairs above a Moorish style courtyard with beautifully tiled dining rooms, we had a great meal served well and efficiently. We had a 20 minute wait as we had arrived around 9.30 but thete was a Taberna in the...More

Traditional Portuguese food in a mauresque palace, with some very beautiful old fashioned halls, and a little restaurant within, not as beautiful as the rest of the place, but good and with good wine advice. Nice people, and à Place worth discovering (you wouldn't tell...More

As others have described the building is a treasure. Moorish in style with beautiful Portuguese and Moorish tile work. Beautifully executive ceilings. One can examine and enjoy them all and the adjourn to the patio bar for beers and smokes. If you venture upstairs you...More

As part of an organized dinner, the interior of the building is amazingly decorated, with beautiful designs and structures. Food was delicious Carne a Alentejana paired up with a wine from the region. The only reason I didn't have a 5 star was the room...More

Yummy. All had delicious, traditional tasty food. AMAZING setting, decor, building that's not easy to find but worth the effort. Only drawback was our young waiter Jose M who really didn't care & was very off-hand to the point of rude.

Visited here while in Lisbon for my wife's birthday based on some searches online. It wasn't a complete disappointment as my wife pork alentejana was the best we've ever had. However, my bacalhau was the worst I had in our week in Lisbon and the...More

The pricing is intermediate, service is very friendly and food more than decent with huge quantities. The atmospheric restaurant room is with azulejos makes this place so special that I went twice over 3 days.
