We visited persuaded by the allegedly great view over the ocean which, fair to say, is the one and only positive side of the restaurant. The food is simply average and has the worst value for money you can find in Lisbon and probably out...of Lisbon. The octopus carpaccio came directly out of a jar with some badly arranged and surely not fresh vegetables and what in the menu is listed as “seashell paella” has mostly meat, which is not specified on the menu. To top it all off, the “bread and butter” should best be described as old and hard bread with cheap hostel butter in plastic packaging (2,8€/person). The result was a bill of over 50€/person for food and service that didn’t deserve half of what we paid. Please avoid.More

A beautiful restaurant perched above rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Is the perfect restaurant to have an al fresco dining and at the same time being in the shade. The menu offers a vast array of items, everything looks fantastic. The seafood is excellent. Very...friendly and attentive service.More

This restaurant has an amazing view. Its location is amazing and visiting it is always a memorable experience. But i hadn't visited in about three years and i was really disappointed with the food. What happened? I had dinner with my wife and the food...was just horrible. What's happening? The food, which i always loved, didn't have any taste and our fish plates were like plastic...i just couldn't believe it. The waiters were very kind and professional, but the experience was very disappointing. I won't go back soon.More

The ambiance is so good that the disappointing quality of food can be forgiven. It is one of the best locations worldwide for a restaurant.

Went for lunch with my wife to Furnas Do Guincho which is supposedly one of the best seafood restaurants in the Cascais/Estoril area. Considering that we went on a Monday the place was surprisingly full however this did not impact the service level which was...good and attentive. The ocean view was fantastic and a big plus. The food was however a mixed bag. My wife enjoyed fresh shrimps as a starter followed by clams - both were delicious. I started with a shrimp cocktail which - while generous in terms of the number of shrimps - was drowned in sauce. My main dish was rockbass and shrimp on a spit - unfortunately both overcooked and very dry. The service and the view did however compensate and will give the place a second chance.More

I’ve booked a table for 3 at this restaurant and request a table with a sea view on the outside area and my table request was confirmed as requested. On arrival I’ve got a table at the back at restaurant facing a rundown car park...at the back of the restaurant. When refusing to seat on that table cause it wasn’t what I requested the waiter threw the menus on the table and walked away without offering an alternative table when the restaurant was empty. Leaving me standing there. Absolutely appalling! Never once before I’ve treated with such arrogance. I’ve ended up leaving the restaurant and having dinner elsewhere. My question is Was I offered a table at the back because me and my 2 friends are black? I will never go back to this restaurant the waiters are old and narrow minded not to call them “Racists.”More

Following a friend’s recommendation, after visiting CAbo da Roca, we drove here and found an outstanding restaurant. First class service, great terrace overlooking the ocean, and excellent food at a reasonable price: we ordered rice with marisco, almelhas, and fish cataplana. Fingerleaking! Easy private parking....Would come back when close to guintxo or Cascáis.More

I have been to Furnas do Guincho and latest this past week. I have to say this continues to be my favourite spot in the Guincho area, although this is very debatable given the various options in the area. I find the service quite good...(although this last time I felt that at peak dinner time they lacked a couple of employees) with a spectacular view and a very relaxed setting / atmosphere. We had the lobster "acorda", the "filetes" wih seafood rice and the "queijada de Sintra". Highly recommend!More

Hi Michael. About ten minutes in the taxi from the rail station. Not expensive, can't remember now, but would guess about €15 each way?
