CERVEJARIA ANTARTIDA, Viseu

I really enjoy the tipic Portuguese dish called "Francesinha" and they are normally the same everywhere you order them. The difference here is that it is a "Francesinha de Alheira". I was reluctant to try it, but I must say, I was not disappointed. The...texture was different, but pleasant. The flavours were, simply put, new! I can't compare it since it's the first I've eaten. Now, it is not a 5 star dish though, but a different approach to a really common meal. Talking about price (some people might be interested), 15€ with the biggest dark beer. Reasonable, I think.More

Too poor for such a beautiful restaurant

It is hard to understand how a restaurant that has a good atmosphere and is well decorated is so poor in quality of service and food. The service is far below what is required for this type of restaurant. I would rate the service even...worse than the food. A pretentious restaurant for such poor quality. Improvements are required.More

Amazing lunch with friends

Fantastic food and well served. We were a group of 4 and all were very well received by the manager, Patricia. Always very friendly and helpful. The tropical salad was 5 stars. Very fresh and delicious. A must!!

Lunch Saturday 18th November

Looks very nice and have been here before and it was good. We went today and ordered our meals, mine a traditional dish of ham and turkey sandwich in cheese and tomato sauce, my wife ordered a cheese and ham omelette, both with chips. When...they arrived they were both cold, so we sent them back via the Manager. They came back a few minutes later obviously heated up in the microwave, result a rock hard omelette and horrible chips. Not an ideal way to reheat an omelette or chips for that matter. Very poor treatment, he did knock off €3.25, but the bill was €29 euros and that included a bottle of Cabriz wine at €8. So a very expensive lunch and not at all what you expect we will not be going back.More

Delicious food in a shopping center

I must confess I have some concerns about shopping center's restaurants. But we were gladly surprised about the delicious dishes we've ordered at Cervejaria Antartida. I've ordered "Caril de gambas com arroz de coco" and it was super great! Portion for 1 was more than...enough for me! And the beer was super cold - just how we like it!More
