That place is the one where we absolutely love to eat fish. Always fresh and nicely done. Then lulas (cuttlefish) was discovered by us once. Again very tasty although simple. That's the point! Not overgrilled, just the way you want your seafood to be prepared....The place is very simple as well but always crowded in season, frequented by the locals and not without a reason. Small authentic pearl which is rear in this part of Portugal.More

We walked past this place a couple of times before we decided to stop in for lunch, and we were certainly glad that we did. Small, and certainly crowded because it is very popular. We had skewered squid, prawns, chorizo plus a plate of cuttlefish...and a salad, followed by fruit salad for dessert. The house white wine was very good. Absolutely super lunch! Great staff as well with extremely efficient service.More

And the other food wasuvh better than average. Called in for a sneaky beer after a long walk around the pristine sandy bay, booked a table and went back for lunch. Very busy Sunday lunchtime but the inside restaurant is very authentic, menu choices limited...but every thing we had was excellent and very good value for money. €40 for 2 including a couple of beers and some paletable house Douro. And then, some amazing cheesecake to nicely finish off lunch. Also really nice vibe sat next to a very friendly couple from Lisboa, hope Sporting sort themselves out.More

Ate lunch here, on a sunny Sunday. Location is great, with easy parking and specially if one can get a place outside, just overlooking the beach. Service is very friendly and fast. Food is great, we particularly loved the "espetada terra e mar" which was...huge and so tasty. Excellent place for grilled fish and meat. Last surprise, the prices were very reasonable, under 20€ per person with wine. But on sunny days, be prepared to wait since there's lots of customers and the place is small.More

The best of the restaurant is the location, although the food is fairly good. It located in the small village of "Buarcos" next to "Figueira da Foz" along the sea. It has a pleasant sitting area outdoors with a half dozen tables, overlooking the beach...and the sea. It is particularly nice for lunch in sunny days or for dinner in warm summer nights. The restaurant room inside is very small and dark. The menu is short but it includes grilled fish and meat. Particularly good are the grilled sardines and the grilled cuttlefish (without ink). It has a good cheesecake for dessert. The wine list is limited but it has a couple of decent wines. The prices are reasonable.More

We visited Figueira da Foz as the weather where we were staying was dull. We wanted to try fish as the town was near the sea, our waiter explained what was on the menu and didn't know the name of one fish. We decided to...try it, and did not regret our decision. The bread and olives with the homemade tuna spread were delicious. The fish came with salad and boiled potatoes and was grilled. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and cleared our plates, we found out afterwards it was black swordfish. On checking this is scabbard fish and if we had seen it before it was cooked we might have steered away as it is a bit frightening and a little like an eel. It was delicious, and we both were glad of our choice, few bones and easy to eat. A fresh fruit salad completed our meal. Would thoroughly recommend the restaurant as the service was friendly and the view of the sea beautiful.More
