The sushi is very good (my favorite Sushi in Aveiro so far, and I've tried a few restaurants!). The decoration is ok , the rooms are a little bit claustrophobic and dark (no windows and view to the outside, kinda industrial environment).

I went there after some friends shared their experience and labeled as the best sushi restaurant in Aveiro. I liked the service, the dinning room as well the decoration. But the sushi, it was not great/best experience as every one told so, it was good,...better that some "all you can eat buffet" at least, but is very pricy...More

Great place with a huge variety of fish. One of the best sushi restaurant I ever been. Try the delirium... Just amazing!!!

I'm not the biggest fan of sushi but I've heard so much of this place I finally decided to give it a try! I had high expectations and I can say I was not disappointed with the food or the service.. only the atmosphere/background music...could be better. We ordered the free style menu while the place was still kinda empty and it took a while, but was worth the wait! I guess it was the best sushi I ever had! It's not cheap but it's worth it! I recommend it and will come back!More

We ordered one traditional Yamato set and half free style. The combination is amazing, we just love it. The ending is carre matsuri, crisp outside, soft inside, really nice. Definitely will come back again

In Aveiro or even in Portugal, it's hard to find a Japanese restaurant that can have a very good quality/price relation. The Matsuri has a very good standard and you pay around €23-26 p/p to eat starter, main dish, dessert + coffee and non-alcohol beverage...(usually for this quality of Japanese restaurant it will cost you around €33-35). As a lover of Japanese cuisine (more the westernized than the traditional), I enjoy the fact that it's not prepared in the traditional style which means putting wasabi inside each piece of sushi. You have the wasabi available on your dish and you can take it on your own way. Matsuri adopts a western Japanese cuisine style and not a traditional, which allows you to find the California rolls, and more fancy/elaborated sushis on the Menu. You can as well request "Free Style" and the Sushiman will prepare diversified and varied sushi and sashimi pieces based on his own inspiration without following any traditional line. I added a picture of a Free Style so you will be able to see how diversified and mix of salty and sweety the free style can be. The Matsuri doesn't offer only sushi & sashimi, you have hot dishes of fish and meat but always inside the Japanese cuisine. I'm very sad that the Matsuri doesn't have Matcha Tea and doesn't serve it as a beverage. If you want a Japanese beverage, only saké.More
