We managed to have a dinner at this restaurant on a 3rd attempt since it was always full - we thought it’s a good sign and weren’t disappointed. Initially we wanted to get paella, but then we got tempted by a waiter’s suggestion to try...a local dish - a bowl of pasta with fish, shrimps & some other seafood and an amazing seafood sauce. It was super delicious, accompanied with a very good house wine! We couldn’t be happier we followed this suggestion. Absolutely recommended to drop by for lunch or dinner, besides the food being great the staff is also fantastic. We will certainly be back when in Lagos :) thank you!More

We found this lovely family restaurant because we had read lots of nice reviews on Tripadvisor. We visited it with my husband for dinner and returning back for tasty and succulent “Cataplana” 3 times during our stay in Portugal. Never have we eaten such a...fabulous combination of prawns, mussels, clums, potatoes and different herbs in one dish. We were really excited with its well-balanced flavour. We also liked another dish - mix fish grill (tuna stake, salmon, sea bream and seabass). We also discovered that the restaurant has been running by Ukrainian family. We’ve got acquainted with Sabir - our fabulous waiter who recommended us all fantastic dishes we’ve tasted, cocktails and some local liquors. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. I want to thank Sabir and his family (mom - chef of the restaurant, dad - an accountant) for amazing food and good advice. We will definitely come back!More

I came here at least 7-8 times during my 1 month stay in Lagos because literally EVERYTHING is so good and the service is unmatched! The paella, the portuguese steak, the mussels and the garlic bread... Everythinh was amazing! A special thank you to Sabir!...He is AMAZING! If you're a large group, you won't be disappointed with his service! He takes care of every little detail and will make it a special night for you and your close ones! Thank you to everyone (Sabir and his parents, Petro) at Ala do Castelo for the wonderful food and the good times. Until next time, CarlosMore
