We ate here on the first night of our holiday and enjoyed it. The restaurant's owner took the time to chat to us as soon as we arrived and the service from the other waiters was extremely polite. We all started with soup. The children enjoyed their main courses and we both liked the halibut. The set menu is also... More

We have been going to this restaurant for many years and are never disappointed either by the welcome we get or the quality of the food we receive. We visited on two occasions while we were on holiday and on the last I was pleasantly surprised that Tony, the owner, had managed to get me a piece of turbot, one... More

I found A Grelha by chance at lunchtime - so appealing was the menu I couldn't not try it - and was delighted I did. Quintessential Portuguese lunch - Grilled Sardines, potatoes in olive oil, salad, great bread and a jug of delicious white wine... The owner & waiter were super friendly. What more could you want, on the last... More

Had a really wonderful meal. The food and the wine was one of the best meals we had while in Armacao and we have tried many restaurants while staying there. The service was excellent. Highly recommend. Would definitely return.

Lovely authentic Portugese restaurant with very friendly staff. The food and service are always are of the highest standards and at a very good price. I would thoroughly recommend the pork medallions in a white wine sauce.

The service was a bit slow to start with but it was worth the wait. The fish soup had a good depth of flavour and the monkfish and prawn kebabs were enormous and cooked to perfection. Really nice evening. Thank you.

Four in our party and the initial greeting was very effusive and welcoming, it went down hill a little after that. The salted cod was very disappointing as was the rest of the not so memorable food. We did not return.

Highly recommend. This place is an absolute gem in a little side street between beach and the old town. You can eat inside or out. Aircon inside. The food is delightful very tasteful and of authentic Portuguese style. Compliments to staff and chef. Very pleasing dining experience at reasonable prices for generous portions. WiFi available and clean hassle free atmosphere.

What a find. We usually only dine in heavily endorsed trip advisor restaurants but stumbled across this place while most others were closed before the tea time rush. The staff were actually finishing their pre service meal when we arrived but they ushered us in and presented us with the menu while they completed their ritual. I'm so glad we... More
