Had food here .. no problem getting a table. Only one staff member at front of house. Not an issue as not many clients about. Order a starter and mains from the menu. Had prawns in batter first followed by chicken burger with homemade chips...and side order of onion rings. Meal arrived out . Starter was 5 prawn sticks in batter. Taste was just ok. Appears that they were frozen before cooking. Mains came out. Chicken burger was below average and again the chips were from a bag of frozen chips, soft and limp on the plate. Not what I expected for homemade chips. The onion rings again looked and tasted like they came straight from lidl or Aldi freezer section. Overall it was very poor food. Starter was 4.95 but not worth a euro. Mains was a two for 16.95 but sadly not worth 5 euro. In future I will wander by this place.More

A friendly welcome - I'm not usually one to visit a Brit venue when traveling abroad, but this is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for home comforts and reasonably priced drink or meals. Large beers (happy hour, prior to 5pm) €1.50 for himself,...I had a glass of white wine (also €1.50). At that price I was expecting vinegar, but what I got was a lovely dry, fruity local white. The meals were also excellent - two meals for €16.95. Very British fare, but cooked very well. Himself had fish, chips and mushy peas whilst I had gammon steak, egg and (of course) chips. Not a spot of grease on the plate: well cooked comfort food, and a good choice too. I used to love piripiri when I lived in Malawi (next to the former Portuguese colony, Mozambique) but it was just too hot for spice. We finished off with a decent cup of tea (PG Tips for him), and a lovely white frothy coffee for me. Total cost - just over €25 and excellent value. If we were staying longer, we'd be back.More

Visited here Sunday 22 August. Ordered a Sunday roast dinner and a steak pie and chips. Delighted to find the first freshly made home cooked chips I've experienced in Albufeira. And that includes a few high end restaurants who use lazy frozen chips. The roast...beef was tender, pie delicious and the service was impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble for Andy who found that fine line between attending to all needs but not being annoying. We enjoyed our meals here do much we returned for a second helping in the evening!! Andy's service and the food was every bit as good as at lunchtime. Highly recommended!More

We visited the Wander Inn for the first time for Sunday lunch. Very good food, piping hot and well presented. Service is friendly too. We ate on a sunny terrace and the experience was pleasant. We will definitely return.
