Myself and my family have been eating here for years, multiple times each visit. Nothing can be faulted at this restaurant, fantastic food, drink and staff. I'd highly recommend the steak, just please don't ask for 'well done' :) 10/10

Go here every time we visit the Algarve and food always great, I had salmon which was beautifully cooked, girlfriend had lasagne & hubby had prawn curry, puddings followed then the free port flowed. A delightful restaurant up the beach escalator and a 10 euro tuk tuk ride if you can't be bothered to walk up the hill.

This evening meal was a delightful experience. Excellent food and service offering Portuguese cuisine in a casual friendly atmosphere. The Portuguese pork and the sea bass were excellent and the wild boar was absolutely amazing. The owner is a riot, worthy of standup comedy and he had the entire room in stitches of laughter. All in all it was an... More

We ate at Dom Capito three times during our 3 week visit. The restaurant has been updated and improved since our last visit in 2015. Very friendly service, perfectly prepared and presented food. Excellent garlic bread and soups. For our main courses I had the mixed kebab, once with garlic, twice with a delicious port wine sauce. My husband loved... More

Starters of prawn cocktail (overpriced but good) and garlic mushrooms (just lovely) followed by horrid cod, very overcooked in a cream sauce and proported Ribye, which was two 'minute steaks' on top of each other albeit with a very nice pepper sauce. Just not worth the trip from the old town. Owner seemed desperate and moaned about the all inclusive... More

Went a couple of times during our stay and despite not a large menu we enjoyed our experience. Place is compact but generates a good atmosphere. Service was fine and prompt and food tasty.

Just come back from Albufeira. Ate in Dom Capito five nights out of the seven and each night spoilt for choice. The food is excellent and Carlos and his staff always makes us feel so welcome. Have eaten at many places in the town over the years but Dom Capito can't be beaten for quality. See you again next year.

Had a nice stake in peppercorn sauce and service was good portions fairly small compared to other restaurants and that is the only reason it has been marked down. But would recommend.

We kept passing here on our way to the Old Town and it was always busy. Now know why - food is great and if you want an excellent Portugese meal, this is the place! We had traditional pork dish which was superb. Sit back and enjoy watching the world go by - food is fresh so you have to... More
