Had breakfast at the Castelo Café Lounge. It’s well located, near the castle. Open most of the day, we just had breakfast there, but I know, for a fact, that it is very pleasant to go in the afternoon or late afternoon and have a...drink and try some of the local delicious “petiscos”, call it snacks or finger food. The staff is very nice and available. There’s a very talkative parrot there too, a great attraction, I would say - a lot of “Olá” is heard :-)More

Only stayed in Marvão for two days but went twice both days. Great for coffee during the day and drinks in the evening. Very cosy and lovely friendly staff.

The best place to relax and admire the view in Marvão with a glass of wine or craft beer of course! A cool bar/cafe in the heart of Marvão, outside in the summer is the best and in the coler months try the mezzanine, a...cosy place for you and your friends to socialise. Great service and choice of drinks. One of my local haunts!More

When we first arrived in Marvao this was our first stop. We were hungry and thirsty and O Castelo was just what we needed. Our ham sandwiches were good and our view was enjoyable.

While climbing around Marvao, this little cafe makes for a picturesque stop to have a sandwich and a glass of Portuguese beer. We also enjoyed listening to the African Gray parrot whistle at people passing by, and their reactions in trying to figure out who...or what was whistling.More

Had to leave due to another families kids bullying our kids - I’m not sure if they were the owners children (small girl and teenage boy) but they done nothing about it. They kept calling my children ugly and they started trouble for no reason,...my kids became very upset so we left. My children are mix raced and this is their first time experiencing racism. Avoid this establishment like the plagueMore

What a lovely place. Nice friendly service with a smile, very very good tostas mistas (cheese and ham toast) made with local alentejo bread, top G and Ts and a beautiful, peaceful garden lounge. Do not miss it before and after the castle.
